Revisit Isla Nublar in this first look at JURASSIC PARK IV

It's been a great year to be a fan of Steven Spielberg's 1993 adaption of Michael Chrichton's classic novel Jurassic Park. First the 3D re-release and now we're officially getting another film.

Safety Not Guaranteed director Colin Trevorrow is making his big-budget debut with Jurassic Park IV and today he tweeted the first image we've seen of the film since production began.

The word "Nublar" stands out especially, giving us a potential detail of the highly secret plot. As you know, Jurassic Park all began on an island, off the coast of Costa Rica. Isla Nublar.

We spared no expense.

Jurassic Park 4 3D opens July 14, 2014 helmed by Trevorrow off a script written by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, the husband and wife duo who penned Rise of the Planet of the Apes and it's upcomming sequel Dawn of the Planet of the Apes also set for a summer 2014 release.

Michael B. Jordan Might Be Your Human-Torch in FANTASTIC FOUR

Word from The Wrap reports that Michael B. Jordan is being tossed around to star as Johnny Storm AKA The Human Torch in Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot.

"Chronicle" star Michael B. Jordan is in contention to play The Human Torch in Josh Trank's "Fantastic Four" reboot due in 2015, which would give the African-American actor a rare role as a superhero in a big studio franchise, numerous individuals familiar with the project have told The Wrap.

The Human Torch, also known as Johnny Storm, was white in the Marvel comic, and the wise-cracking character was previously played by Chris Evans in the original 2005 version and its 2007 sequel.

Twentieth Century Fox declined to comment on the record, but numerous individuals close to the studio and the actor have told The Wrap that "Chronicle" director Trank is considering a reunion with Jordan, whose feature career has soared since his breakout turns on TV in "The Wire" and "Friday Night Lights."

This would be Jordan's second time working with Trank, as the two were involved in 2012's Chronicle together.

This all, however, relies on Jordan's chemistry involving the other actors, which "officially" there are none aside from a rumored Allison Williams of HBO's "Girls".

The trailer for Oscar winner (Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" By Sapphire) Geoffery S. Fletcher's Violet & Daisy has shown itself online, despite being filmed in 2011, and promises a violent dark trip that promises some sweet visuals, and probably a really sad ending.

THE WOMAN IN BLACK: ANGEL OF DEATH Finds It's New Harry Potter

The latest Harry Potter film, 2012's Harry Potter and the Haunted Mansion The Woman in Black, made $130 million worldwide off of a modest budget of about $15 million. Now, this doesn't usually mean that there's a sequel, since studios care about the product not the cash, especially when it comes to horror films, It's been announced that The Woman in Black: Angel of Death has found it's leads.

The Hollywood Reporter broke that fresh off of the wildly acclaimed Spielberg film Warhorse, Jeremy Irvine, will play the lead role opposite Phoebe Fox.

"Jeremy and Phoebe are fantastic actors to continue The Woman in Black’s chilling tale.  I’m looking forward to working with them both on the film and can’t wait to start shooting with the pair."

Director Tom Harper (The Scouting Book for Boys, The Swarm) said of the two.

Here's what to expect story-wise from this follow-up:

The sequel will continue the story four decades later.

Seized by the British government during World War II, the sudden arrival of a group of evacuated children at Eel Marsh House awakens its ghostly inhabitant.

What do you all think? I didn't mind the first film, and thought it was pretty well made and somewhat chilling. Here's hoping lightning can strike twice.

Scarlet Witch & Quick-Silver Basically Confirmed for AVENGERS; Fox Might be Pissed.

Nerd-God Joss Whedon, fresh off stroking his ego from a little indie film that made a modest amount last summer,  The Avengers, has hinted strongly that Scarlet Witch and Quick-Silver, the mutant spawns of Magneto, could possibly appear in The Avengers 2 while talking to Yahoo! Movies today.

"I've got these two characters, two of my favorite characters from the comic book, a brother-sister act. They're in the movie."

While this has been speculated for a while, due to the odd legal nature of the two characters being simultaneously owned by Marvel and 20th Fox, allowing them to hypothetically appear in the next X-Men film AND the Avengers films, as IGN has pointed out:

Yes, they originated in the X-Men comics, which is generally 20th Century Fox's purview, but it appears there's more to it than that for the brother/sister duo, who went on to become Avengers in the comics. Instead, Feige reveals both 20th Century Fox and Marvel have legal access to Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch in their respective films, which is unique to these characters. That's right, Marvel could put them in an Avengers movie, while Fox could also separately put them in an X-Men movie if they so chose to. It's hard not to ponder the oddness if both franchises included them, possibly with different actors - and set in different eras!

That's pretty cool I guess, although w both know Scarlet Witch will appear as a sassy pop-culture savvy goth-girl, and Quick-Silver will be an effeminate smart ass with nice-hair probably played by some unknown British star who will go on to become a Tumblr icon and piss you off after hearing about the 26th fanfiction involving an Iron-Man/Quick-Silver sex scene.

Zack Snyder In The Running for JUSTICE LEAGUE, Because That'll Totally Happen

Incase you haven't heard, Warner Brothers really wants to be rolling in that Avengers money, although they don't really want to put forth the effort to try, so they'll probably just skip right to the big-stuff.

Zack Snyder, who's about to make WB pretty wealthy with his upcoming Man of Steel is apparently the rumor of the week to be in for the big Justice League film, despite rumors every other week that he's not involved, or he is, or hell, they'll probably just give it to JJ Abrams, since by the time he cranks out Star Wars Episode X WB will finally greenlight this damn thing.

JoBlo reported earlier from a story Empire Magazine did on the upcoming Superman film:

"Whether we get a Justice League, [the studio says], depends on Man of Steel," says the report. "If we do, they say, Zack Snyder will be asked to direct."

Apparently, Snyder has also decided to put a few little nods to the wide DC Cinematic universe that so far includes a failed Green Lantern film and Nolan's Batman trilogy:

“...in a weird way it is also the DC world," he says. "I have been making references to the DC universe, just to let you know that world is out there.”

Snyder also had this to say on the Nolan films and how they compare to Marvel's cash-cows:

“When you talk about superhero action movies, there is Batman of course, and I think that Chris (Nolan) laid a lot of important groundwork. And there are the Marvel movies... I don’t mean it as an insult, Iron Man and Hulk are strong superheroes, but we’ve never had a superhero movie where everyone can go, ‘Yeah, I understand the why of the whole thing.’ Superman is a character who deciphers the why of superheroes.”

IGN also pointed out that Gangster Squad director Ruben Fleischer hinted to Screen Crush that Snyder might already be attatched:

"Well that’s something that Zack Snyder is going to wind up doing."

Take all of this at face-value though. We've been hearing Justice League reports for a while now, and as Warner Brothers says, this all depends on Man of Steel.

I really like Snyder and have enjoyed everything he's done, from 300 to Sucker Punch I believe that beneath his unique visual style he also has a great grasp on complexity and a way to manipulate the audiences emotions, so if anyone CAN do Justice League, I'd believe in Snyder.

I just hope when and if WB goes through with it, they make it accessible; but also engaging. If done right, Justice League could be the ensemble film with the emotional depth to match it's visual flare, where as The Avengers had the action; but not much in the way of anything beneath the surface.

Hope You Aren't Tired of Lee Pace, Because He's the Badguy in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

From The Wrap:

Lee Pace ("The Hobbit") is in final negotiations to play the villain in Disney and Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy," an individual familiar with the project has told TheWrap.

Getty Images

The identity of Pace's villainous character is being kept under wraps.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" finds Quill leading a group of alien superheroes as they protect the solar system from an evil alien race.

The cast currently features Chris Pratt as Star Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, WWE star Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer and Michael Rooker as Yondu. Ophelia Lovibond will also co-star in an unknown supporting role.

I'm sure some of you basement dwellers can try and guess who Pace will play; but who knows.
I understand everyone is excited for Guardians of the Galaxy and I'm am too, as well as somewhat skeptical.

It is, however, the only "fresh" Marvel movie we're getting in the near future, so it could be Star Wars or Green Lantern. Who knows.

Marvel's Guradians of the Galaxy comes out August 1 2014.
