Movie Moan TV - 'Harry Brown' (2009)

I'm spoiling you this week with a double bill but it's practically Christmas so what the hey.

All the evidence seems to suggest that I am the only person in the UK who didn't love 'Harry Brown' aka 'Punisher: The Later Years' but hopefully this video makes a good case for my opinion.

And I think you'll agree that the score for 'The Punisher' works spookily well with the film.

I still think this is a decent film, thanks to Michael Caine's performance and it's cool, detached look (despite it's obvious flaws in the script and occassional cliches).

Those retro-titles were very good :-)

Just as a matter of interest, Phil... have you ever seen "Rise of the Footsoldier"

now that's a truly bad British crime flick! It makes Harry Brown look like "Taxi Driver"!

There can be no better way to punish me for not liking 'Harry Brown' than recommending a really, truly bad one sir. I'll make a note and be sure to try and watch it.

Let me know what you think of it... if you see it, that is.
