Movie Moan TV - 'Election' (1999)
Tue, December 14, 2010 Apologies once again for the delay in the latest 'moan of the week'.Hopefully the wait has been worth it for this week we take a look at one of Phil Gee's top ten favorite films, 'Election'.
Also joining Phil are Jamie Williams and Queen Kristina.
By the way, I only just noticed when putting together this video the whole Coke/Pepsi thing. Tracy compares her ambition and drive to Coca-Cola and, weirdly enough, the only cola we see McCallister drink is Pepsi (when he tosses the empty bottle from his car into the trash along with Tracy's signatures and when he hurls the soda at the limo). That is not a coincidence God I love this film.

I sold nearly 350 DVDs from my personal collection this week ; this wasn't one of them.
Witherspoon still hasn't done anything better than this and looking back in retrospect, I'm surprised Broderick didn't get Oscar nominated. I read a review years ago, that said this is what would have happened to Feris Bueller if he grew up to be a teacher. I think that's an interesting way at looking at his character. :-)
