    Wolverine 2 Details Leak

Getting Darren Aronofsky to direct Wolverine 2 is on the same level a coup as getting Christopher Nolan to produce Superman: The Man of Steel.

While that great filmmaker's involvement has raised eye-brows and the hopes of fans, it just isn't enough to get me to give a damn. I think they're forgetting just how much Wolverine (and X-Men: The Last Stand, to a lesser degree) stunk of poop. But it's still happening and will probably hit around June 2012 (Fox hasn't given an official release date yet).

The folks at Pajiba have the character and some plot details on the sequel/prequel/spin-off (Will a new term be invented for this genre – "sepreqoff?"). So expect to see the same stuff "exclusively" reported in a week or so by "TOLDJA."

I won't cut and paste it here (Click on the damn link, and give Dustin some traffic, bitches!). But it confirms what everyone has known forever-and-a-day. Fans are finally going to get the popular 1982 Japan-set comic mini-series adapted.

The irony is this and X-Men: The First Class could creatively redeem the series. But I think it's in the "Too little, too late" stage with the general public.

Come on now, Wolverine was NOT that bad. It was not wonderful, but it was a decent movie. I think you had unrealistic expectations for that film because you clearly are making out to be far worse than it was.

The first Wolverine was that bad. First off he was Wolverine light. Second, it's kind of sad when Singer's flashback escape sequence in X2 was better than most of what was in Origins.

The more I hear about this sequel the more optimisic I become. Hopefully they can redeem the character and hopefully it won't have too many references or ties to the first origin film.

While there were some good things in 'X-Men The Last Stand" (makes you wonder if there was another reason Vaughn bailed-only to return for First Class) and "Wolverine" wasn't a horrible film by any means (just that most were interested in what happens after 'Last Stand' and that four characters could not be in any serious danger;,Deadpool was wasted, Blob a cameo and Gambit underused...but the Logan-Creed dynamic saved it)

But I can't help it Jamie. I cannot resist. "sepreqoff"? No, my friend. If this fails below expecations, it won't be sepreqoff.
    It will be Stroganoff.
