Deathly Hallows Soundtrack Preview
We are now a mere three weeks away from the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I and the promotional blitz is officially in full force. In addition to some pretty terrific TV and print ads popping up everywhere, you can now get a preview of Alexandre Desplat's score for the film here (fair warning: there's at least one major spoiler in the track titles for anyone who hasn't read the book).
I'm listening to it as I'm writing this, and it's sounding great. Definitely the right amount of epic-ness and tragedy required for the first part of the story. The soundtrack will be available for pre-order on November 2, and will arrive in stores on November 16.
In other Deathly Hallows-related news, Box Office Mojo is reporting that the MPAA has revised Part 1's PG-13 rating to include a warning about "brief sensuality" to go with the "sequences of intense action violence and frightening images.". Yikes. Deathly Hallows Part 1 is the third film in the series to be rated PG-13, along with Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix. Let's just assume right now that Part 2 will be the fourth.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 opens in theaters on November 19th.
