Movie Moan - The Divisive Spider-man

You asked for it, you got it.  Movie Moan proudly presents a full 80 minute, spoiler filled, show exclusively on the subject of 'The Amazing Spider-man'.  Nuff' said.

Except that we are joined by a brand new and very special guest; Mr Pietro Filliponi, editor and big cheese at The Daily Blam.

Shawn Robbins of Box Office.comalso joins Phil, Jamie and Kristina (in the short time we can get her before her Skype connection cuts out):

5:14 mins - Our initial thoughts and those of one child traumatized by the Lizard.

11:30 mins- Garfield vs. Maguire and the place of the modern nerd in society.

    23 mins- Stone vs. Dunst.

28:25 mins - The Lizard, plus is Aunt May the shadowy figure in the final scene?

32:30 mins- A special episode of 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent' as we put Uncle Ben's killer on trial (since Spidey never caught him in this film).

41:20 mins - Why does love in the movies have to be earned?

49:10 mins- Would New York really love Spidey?

56:10 mins- Pietro goes head to head with deadly supervillain Captain Nitpicker (otherwise known as Phil).

65:35 mins - The bad marketing and how it didn't make much difference box office wise at all.

73 mins - The one thing we want from a sequel.

Movie Moan - The Poke Of Zorro

Sigh, we're really sorry to do this to you again folks but we couldn't bring you the promised Bond-A-Thon this week (you were counting down the days for it weren't ya?).  But I always try to give you some content each week, no matter what.

So, before the main event next week reviewing 'that' film, please enjoy our gushing look back at one of our favourites in the action adventure genre 'The Mask Of Zorro' (1998).

Movie Moan - Do The MacaMerida (with AICN's Nordling)

The lead character in Pixar's 'Brave' is just another person you can add to the long list of names Jamie can't pronounce. At least he got to see the film. The European territories had to make do 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter'. Capt. Ed Hocken forced us to watch a Michael Bay movie, and yet another crew of talented filmmakers have completely missed the point of 'Judge Dredd'. Sigh!

To cheer us up, we've brought back the delightful company of AICN writer Mr Alan Cerny aka Nordling, a man more qualified to talk about Pixar than most since he's actually been there:-

4:20 mins - Our thoughts on the 'Monsters University' teaser trailer (and speculation on how Boo just might make an appearance in a thoroughly disturbing way).

9:40 mins - Alan, Kristina & Jamie review 'Brave'as well as the short film preceding it; 'La Luna'(aka Super Mario Galaxy).

35:05 mins - Alan, Jamie & Phil review 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' (the real 'The Untold Story' of the summer).

49:10 mins - We cast our thoughts on the trailer for 'Dredd 3D'. Judgement is, indeed, coming.

58:25 mins - Capt. Ed Hocken joins us to choose his next summer blockbuster of old; 'The Rock (1996)'.

Movie Moan - Just For The Taste Of It

It's time for our belated in-depth review of 'Prometheus' and, as usual, Jamie and Phil can't agree on anything. So join the wannabe Siskel & Ebert (with Queen Kristina in tow) as they spend a good 40 minutes on the finer points of the film, its pros and cons and where it definitively stands in quality compared to the rest of the 'Alien' series.

Our good friend Mr Shawn Robbins of BoxOffice.com also joins us but, honestly, found the film so forgettable that he struggles to come to Phil's aid in trashing it.

4 mins - Phil shares his epic battle from last week to get 'The Dark Knight Rises' tickets for opening weekend at the London IMAX. Plus, the 60's show is finally coming to DVD.

11:05 mins - The spoiler filled dissection of 'Prometheus' (with the wise words of Isaac Asimov to back up Phil's argument.

48:30 mins - Shawn and Jamie review 'Rock Of Ages' and Kristina ponders the alternate ending we never got.

53:40 mins - A loving and lengthy look at Kristina's choice of ye olde summer blockbuster - 'Batman Returns' (1992), including its rarely seen Diet Coke commercial.

Movie Moan: A Little Something To Tide You Over

I explain all in the show but, essentially, we weren't able to bring you a regular full length Movie Moan with our in-depth roundtable review on 'Prometheus'

But we won't leave you hanging without a fix this week so join Jamie, Kristina & Phil as we drag you back to the boredom and disappointment of one of the most maligned sequels of all time; 'Ghostbusters II'.

Medical Disclaimer: For viewer comfort, scenes of Janosh have been kept to a minimum.
