Movie Moan - The Pietro Legacy

You wanted him, you got him.  After such a great response to his first appearance on our show for 'The Divisive Spider-man', we are proud to welcome back Pietro Filliponi of The Daily Blam.com to our show.  Here's what we've got for you this week:

4:10 mins - After last week's favourable review from Mr Douglas, Jamie and Pietro go to town on 'The Bourne Legacy' with a rather contrary reaction.

21:15 mins - Phil reviews the new documentary 'Comic-Con: Episode IV - A Fan's Hope' as someone who has never been able to go to San Diego.  Pietro chimes in with his thoughts on the film and what it's like to be at the fire code violation that is Comic-Con.

39:05 mins - Our thoughts as Joss Whedon is confirmed to help bring about 'Phase 2' of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

46:35 mins - 'Summer Lovin' returns as Phil, Jamie and Capt. Ed Hocken pick away at the carcass of one of the mother of bad summer sequels - 'Robocop 2'.

80:35 mins - The show is officially over but, if you like, you can spend another near 15 mins listening to Jamie and Pietro talk..........and talk, and talk, and talk (and wish death upon Clint Eastwood).

Movie Moan - Hetero, Brunette, Athletic, Sleazy & Demure

It's lines like that which set the original 'Total Recall' apart from the rest of science fiction blockbuster cinema.  How can a remake possibly match it?

Well it can't but apparently it isn't that bad, and neither is 'The Bourne Legacy'.  Giving us the word on both is special guest of honour Edward Douglas, writer for comingsoon.net.

And we've got plenty more for you this week with a regular edition of classic Movie Moan, just as you like it:

2:40 mins - Edward and Jamie review 'Total Recall' or 'The Bourne Recall' as it should more honestly be known.

14 mins - Ed gives us a brief review of 'The Bourne Legacy' and dodging Universal's highly trained snipers while he does it.

17:45 mins - The UK finally got 'Ted' so Phil can talk about it with the others, only a month and a half late (big whopping super secret cameo spoiler is blown here too).

28:15 mins - 'The Hobbit' is officially a trilogy.  We are not amused.

41:50 mins - Is it utter folly for Fox to make 'Prometheus 2'?

50:15 mins - Time bending theories on the plot (and franchise continuity meltdown) of 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past'.

63:15 mins - We talk about the new trailers for 'Skyfall'.  I'm under-selling it but we are quite excited.

Movie Moan - As Geek As It Gets

Your regular Movie Moan is a day early this week.  You're welcome!

To give you a heads up, the video version of the show isn't the usual visual spectacular with gimmicks and jokes, simply because it doesn't need to be.  We have a crammed, passion filled show for you to follow on from last week's Batman special in which we exclusively discuss the future of the character, and indeed the entire DC Universe on film.  This, of course, finally means tackling the teaser trailer for the new Superman film, and blows will be exchanged on that particular subject I can tell you.

Jamie and Phil are joined, just like last week, by Capt. Ed Hocken, Justin Korthof, and the boss himself Peter Georgiou:

2:35 mins - Is 'The Dark Knight Rises' the 'Return Of The Jedi' of Batman movies?

7:40 mins - 'Justice League: The Movie' - now or later?  With or without Batman?

19:15 mins - If Batman stays solo, should they start from scratch, continue with the Nolan continuity, or something in-between?

36:45 mins - Justin vs. The Legion Of Moaners on the subject of the 'Man Of Steel' teaser trailer.

58:45 mins - Green Lantern - what the hell are we going to do with you?

67:45 mins - 'The Flash' and 'Wonder Woman' could be great movies.

72:50 mins - The best way for the DC film universe to unfold.

    Movie Moan - BATDANCE!

It would be understandable if you didn't go out to see a movie this weekend and, if that is the case, it would be best not to watch/listen to the show as we don't hold back on any details or spoilers regarding 'The Dark Knight Rises'.

On the other hand, it's our job to entertain you and we hope we deliver the goods.  Just like Nolan, we've assembled an ensemble cast of Movie Moan regulars to deliver a show stopping piece of entertainment this week.

Joining the regular gang of Jamie, Kristina and Phil is the big cheese of TMT Mr. Peter Georgiou.  It's also the long awaited return of Capt. Ed Hocken, who always shows up for a Nolan film.  Finally, we are proud to welcome back Justin Korthof; he wasn't crazy about 'The Avengers'.  Will he feel the same way about TDKR?

20 seconds - 'The Dark Knight Rises' read-a-long edition with Phil.

8:10 mins - Initial long winded thoughts on the film.

22 mins - The extraneous Daggett plotline.

27:45 mins - Miranda Tate & 'Bane The Bitch'.

32:25 mins - Batman vs Bane: a study in basic brutality.

    43:50 mins - Bane's beautiful bare back and.......the voice.

49:35 mins - Batman returns, then buggers off, then returns again.

59:05 mins - Favourite moments (seriously blowing the ending at this point, you have been warned).

70:10 mins - The end is the beginning is the end.

Movie Moan - More, Much Moore, Roger Moore

As promised, it's Movie Moan's second Bond-A-Thon special where just Jamie and Phil cuddle up on the couch to spew out their own passionate musings on another three classic James Bond movies.

This week, the Roger Moore years:

5:55 mins  'Live And Let Die' (1973)- Watch as Yaphet Kotto inflates multiple times on a loop, Bond pulls his most dickish move ever to get a girl into bed, and the entire state of Louisiana is shown for what it truly is.  It's the first, and mercifully only, Blaxploitation Bond film.

31:05 mins - 'Moonraker' (1979)- From London to California to Venice to Rio to Amazonia to OUTER SPAAAAAAAAACE, this is the Bond that holds nothing back and for whom money is truly no object.  It's the 'Cleopatra' of Bond films except......y'know watchable.

53:55 mins - 'A View To A Kill' (1985)- Please don't say it's the worst film in the series, you'll break Phil's heart.  But we do try and make a serious case that this one only narrowly misses the mark and write a love letter to one of Bond's best baddies, Max Zorin.
