Movie Moan - Do The MacaMerida (with AICN's Nordling)
The lead character in Pixar's 'Brave' is just another person you can add to the long list of names Jamie can't pronounce. At least he got to see the film. The European territories had to make do 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter'. Capt. Ed Hocken forced us to watch a Michael Bay movie, and yet another crew of talented filmmakers have completely missed the point of 'Judge Dredd'. Sigh!
To cheer us up, we've brought back the delightful company of AICN writer Mr Alan Cerny aka Nordling, a man more qualified to talk about Pixar than most since he's actually been there:-
4:20 mins - Our thoughts on the 'Monsters University' teaser trailer (and speculation on how Boo just might make an appearance in a thoroughly disturbing way).
9:40 mins - Alan, Kristina & Jamie review 'Brave'as well as the short film preceding it; 'La Luna'(aka Super Mario Galaxy).
35:05 mins - Alan, Jamie & Phil review 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' (the real 'The Untold Story' of the summer).
49:10 mins - We cast our thoughts on the trailer for 'Dredd 3D'. Judgement is, indeed, coming.
58:25 mins - Capt. Ed Hocken joins us to choose his next summer blockbuster of old; 'The Rock (1996)'.

why is it people can't help but come down on bay for things like plausibility and stereotypes whereas these similar tropes are all but celebrated in many other films such as the Evil dead or even Hangover series.
Is it because you people somehow thing Bay is trying to deliver higher art, you know when he's not making live action toy commercials? So yea, you guys wouldn't have a similar condescending tone when reviewing say Army of Darkness, you'd just be sitting there claiming it was classic and Raimi and silly and fun. With Bay it's always the opposite though he's never (with the exception 2 films) tried to be anything but that?
The one bay film that is celebrated and you guys missed your shot to come off even keeled. As for the shaky cam, go watch a war film, bay didn't start this, he just took the blame.
Woah Jo, we recorded that a week ago so my memory is a little fuzzy but I seem to remember that I made one 'joke' about the plausibility of a car chase in San Fran. And the stereotypes in that car chase are hysterical so damn right we're going to mention it.
Apart from that though, we praised the performances, the well written bad guy, the music, the energy of the film. We loved it. That's why Ed picked it.
I am sorry that you didn't enjoy this week's show. That truly sucks for me.

Agree with Jamie - La Luna is MAGICAL and the highlight of the viewing experience.
Loved Brave even though the main flaw was that only the mother and daughter were fully realized characters.
