Robocop Remake Trailer Is As Terrible As You Had Feared

Let's be clear. Remaking Robocop is not sacrilege. Take one look at the (many) terrible sequels, cartoons, live-action TV incarnations, toy-lines and comic-books show you far they were willing to steer away from what Paul Verhoeven was about to accomplish with the original 1987 film in order to make a buck. Queue "I'll buy that for a dollar" joke.
So modernizing the story of Alex Murphy for a contemporary audience? Fine in my book, and everything looked great on paper. Big name cast filled led with the lesser-known Joel Kinnaman in the title role and most importantly directed by a non-American filmmaker with talent and something in prove in José Padilha.
It's too bad everything since the project got underway hasn't stirred much confidence ranging from the (frankly unprofessional) Twitter script review from a renowned-Holier-than-Thou douchebag to the set pictures showing how different (and how bad) the new design looked. The Comic-Con presentation didn’t stir much faith especially since it allegedly didn’t even feature Kinnaman in full-on Robo-mode, and the theatrical trailer here is... pretty terrible.
