Sun, May 26, 2013 In Man Of Steel, a young boy learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth. As a young man, he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. But the hero in him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind.

WB took a bold move by releasing trailer with almost no action and when they did reveal action it was heavily edited to the point where we came away knowing we had seen nothing. A bold move many speculated would result in absolutely nothing but positive word of mouth as people left the theaters having seen every single heart pounding scene for the first time.
And then came the classic WB marketing blitz in which everything is revealed anyways. Instead of giving us a few trailers that would have been complete and utter show stoppers they opted to have "interesting" trailers that were met with positive but not fever reaction.
ugh, what a world.
