Hayao Miyazaki Set To Retire From Filmmaking.

Studio Ghibli Preisdent and acclaimed filmmaker, Hayao Miyazaki, who has directed such films as the Oscar-winning Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Ponyo, Kiki's Delivery Service, My Neighbor Tortoro, NausicaA of the Valley of the Wind, and Princess Mononoke is retiring from the game, Deadline reports, and his last feature, The Wind Rises is currently making the festival rounds.
Studio Ghibli announced the news Today at the Venice Film Festival.
Miyazaki, who recently wrote From Up On Poppy Hill with his son directing it, is 72 years old, so he's had quite the life, and he will definitley be missed as a filmmaker.
His last feature tells the story of Jiro Horikoshi, who designed Japanese fighter-planes during World War II.
