The Walking Dead - Season 4 Banner

San Diego Comic-Con is just around the corner, so it's time to start hyping the upcoming fourth season of The Walking Dead, starting with this lovely new banner, courtesy of AMC:

It's Rick, being badass!  It's Daryl, who's always a badass!  Michonne, on a horse!  And Tyrese...yikes, he looks like he's in a bit of trouble now, doesn't he?

The new season of The Walking Dead starts in October.  If you need your zombie fix before then and can't make it to Comic-Con, check out AMC on July 4-7 for a marathon of seasons 1-3, which will be hosted by Kevin Smith and include previews of the upcoming season.

Neil Patrick Harris Proves Again That He is A God at Hosting Things

So, everyone was watching the Tony Awards last night, right?  Right??

OK, stop laughing.

For the rest of us awesome people who love the theater, we were treated to this amazing opening number by host Neil Patrick Harris, who kicked off his fourth Tonys hosting gig (and the return of the ceremony to Radio City Music Hall) by including virtually every musical that played on Broadway this past season.

Going from the pub stage of last year's Best Musical winner Once, there were drag queens from this year's Best Musical winner Kinky Boots, jabs at the Shia LeBeouf/Alec Baldwin backstage drama at the recently closed Orphans and at the exteme closeup/live singing of the Les Miserables film. There was the obligatory reference to new Broadway star Tom Hanks, magic tricks from Best Musical Revival Winner Pippin, and appearances by the staggering number of children appearing on Broadway this season.

Oh, and it also had Mike Tyson.  Seriously.

And of course, Harris had to close out the show by musically recapping all of the night's winners, this time joined by five-time Tony winner Audra McDonald:

Broadway...it's the greatest.

Trailer for "The Michael J. Fox" Show

Michael J. Fox is back!  Actually, it feels like he never really left.  Since departing his hit show Spin City due to complications from Parkinson's Disease in 2000, Fox started a foundation dedicated to Parkinson's research that has so far raised $325 million and supported 60 clinical trials to try and stamp out the disease.  He also became a best-selling author, and continued his TV work, appearing in episodes of Scrubs, Boston Legal, Rescue Me (for which he won an Emmy), The Good Wife, and Curb Your Enthusiasm.  He also reprised his Marty McFly role in an amazingly excellent Spike Scream Awards promo celebrating the 25th anniversary of Back to the Future.

He'll be returning to TV full-time this fall with The Michael J. Fox Show, which is basically based on Fox's own life, as a dad, husband, and TV personality dealing with Parkinson's who's returning to the airwaves after an early retirement.  And he's still funny as all hell:

I can't wait for this show.  I was eight years old when Family Ties first started in 1982, 11 when Back to the Future first opened in theaters, and in high school when Family Ties finished its run on NBC and the Back to the Future sequels were arriving in theaters.  So I grew up with Alex P. Keaton and Marty McFly, not to mention Mike Flaherty from Spin City, which pretty much covered my 20s.  So I'll happy to have him back on TV full-time.

The Michael J. Fox Show will air Thursdays this fall on NBC.

"The Walking Dead" Season 3 Trailer

There seems to be no end to the zombie apocalypse at this year's Comic-Con:  between the Walking Dead Escape obstacle course at Petco Park (which looks awesome), and the chance to pose for a photo as one of katana-wielding badass Michonne's "pets", it may look like the end of the world is happening even sooner than the Mayans predicted.

But before that happens, we've got a new season of The Walking Dead coming this fall on AMC, which is now confirmed to be starting on October 14.  The all-star panel at Comic-Con today was nice enough to present a new trailer for the upcoming season featuring lots of new goodies, including our first looks at David Morrissey at The Governor and Danai Gurira as Michonne, along with the carnage one would expect from a zombie-infested prison:

Wow, that's a nice new...um, arm, you got there, Merle.  Yikes!  I can't wait.

Jim Parsons and His Pal, Harvey

With this season of The Big Bang Theory wrapped up, and the new season not scheduled to start production until later this summer, everyone's favorite theoretical physicist Sheldon Cooper...or as he's actually known, two-time Emmy winner Jim Parsons, is spending the summer with an invisble rabbit.  Well, he's playing the lead in a Broadway revival of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Harvey.

Parsons plays Elwood P. Dowd, a friendly but eccentric guy whose best friend is Harvey, a 6-foot, 3-and-a-half inch tall invisible rabbit.  His socially mortified family attempts to have Elwood committed, which goes all sorts of wrong, and hilarity ensues.  The role was made famous by James Stewart, who not only received an Oscar nomination for the film version of Harvey in 1950, he also played Elwood again in a Broadway revival in 1970.  Parsons revealed in a NY Times interview recently that he hasn't yet seen the film version, to avoid trying to make his performance an imitation of Stewart's.

Courtesy of BroadwayWorld, we now have a press reel of clips from the play, which are pretty damn funny.  Any Big Bang fans who want to see Parsons flex his stage chops should definitely check it out:

Yes, Mad Men fans, that was also Rich Sommer playing the sanitarium attendant.  Also in the cast are Jessica Hecht, Charles Kimbrough, and Carol Kane.

Harvey is previews now at NY's Studio 54, and will officially opened for a limited run from June 14 through August 5.

The Walking Dead: Season 3 Preview

Great news for zombie-lovers:  the third season of The Walking Dead started production in Georgia earlier this month and is gearing up for an October start on AMC - this time for a whopping 16 episodes (for those keeping score, Season 1 was 6 episodes, and Season 2 had 13).  Last season's walker-invasion finale, which had me screaming out loud in front of the TV several times, more than teased what will be coming this year, with appearances by zombie-slayer Michonne and the prison where most of this season's action will be taking place.

Courtesy of AMC, we have our first look at what our favorite blood-drenched zombie apocalypse survivors are up to now.  And while we don't get to see Danai Gurira as Michonne or David Morrissey as The Governor yet (although both are mentioned), we do get to hear from T-Dog more than we did all of last season:
