Candice Patton To Play Iris West In CW's The Flash

The CW's The Flash pilot has just found it's Iris West in Candice Patton (via Deadline) who portrayed Tori on The Game. Patton has also appeared on shows such as One Tree Hill and Heroes. Jesse L. Martin will play Detective West, father to Iris, while Candice Patton's Iris is "As smart as she is beautiful, Iris is in grad school studying psychology. She's also Barry's mile a minute, fast-talking, quick-witted best friend."
In The Flash comic books, Iris West has always been a reporter. However, it seems The CW showrunners want to mix it up a bit with her backstory.

Previous casting for The Flash included Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin Snow) and Rick Gosnett (Det. Eddie Thawne)

Arrow 2x12 "Tremors" Images; Oliver Trains Roy Harper

The CW have just released a new batch of promotional photos from the 12th episode of Arrow's second season titled "Tremors". As you can see in the photos below, Slade has secured Fyers' old missile launcher from the island but seemingly doesn't trust Oliver! Has he found out what really happened to Shado? However, in the present, Arrow has seemingly taken up the duties of training Roy Harper and teaching him how to use his powers for good. Will we see Roy string up a bow?

ARROW TRAINS ROY — Arrow (Stephen Amell) offers to train Roy (Colton Haynes) so he can learn to control his newfound super-strength. However, Roy is a rebellious student and refuses to listen unless Arrow reveals his true identity, which Oliver refuses to do. Meanwhile, the Bronze Tiger (guest star Michael Jai White) escapes from prison and steals Malcolm’s earthquake machine to sell to the highest bidder. Oliver, Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) attempt to stop the transfer, but Roy gets in the way, putting everyone in danger. Laurel (Katie Cassidy) is disbarred and spirals out of control. Moira (Susanna Thompson) is thrilled when Walter (guest star Colin Salmon) asks her to dinner, but his reason surprises her. Thea (Willa Holland) encourages her mother to ask Walter to reconcile. Guy Bee directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim & Drew Z. Greenberg (#212).
