New Total Recall Image

The awesome trailer dropped last week and today The Lebanese Cinema Movie Guide have gotten hold of a cool new action image from the August 3rd release.

The image features Quaid (Farrell) and Melina (Biel) In what I believe is a shot from the action sequence that has them using a futuristic elevator that connects Euromerica to New Shanghai.

Looper Poster

Things are really going to start kicking into gear next week for this one with vignettes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and then the teaser trailer debut on Thursday. The film is coming off the back of a great reception at the recent WonderCon and may be this generations Terminator.

Time travel will be invented, but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they send their target 30 years into the past, where a “looper”—a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt)—is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good. . . until the day the mob decides to “close the loop,” sending back Joe’s future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination. the film is written and directed by Rian Johnson and also stars Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, and Jeff Daniels. Ram Bergman and James D. Stern produce.

Total Recall Trailer

I've been looking forward to this one (Thanks to Coming Soon for embeding via iTunes!) and it doesn't disappoint. The future world Wiseman has created has clear influences but feels like a very tactile mix of gritty futurism and sleek style, great contrast.

I've always loved the concept of Total Recall and the old movie is fun, but seeing it with a proper actor in the lead is going to be interesting as there's a lot can be brought to Quaid's situation from an acting standpoint.

The action looks incredible with the synthetic cops, the hovercar chase and that stunning opening fight scene at Rekal.

New Bond Girl Featurettes

These are short but a nice little introduction to the two new Bond girls and the actresses who are playing them. Berenice Marlohe and Naomi Harris. The characters are a really good contrast with Marlohe's Severine being a classic Bond femme fatale, and Harris' Eve being a tough field agent.

People Like Us Trailer

The directorial debut of Alex Kurtzman has the feel of a Cameron Crowe movie and to me that's a good thing. Elizabeth Banks has an earthy charm that really adds to her prettiness and she has acting chops to boot, and Chris Pine to me is leading the pack of young male actors looking to take Tom Cruise's mantle as top box office draw. The film will make a nice change of pace amidst the action heavy summer schedule

From DreamWorks Pictures comes 'People Like Us,' a drama/comedy about family, inspired by true events, starring Chris Pine ('Star Trek') as Sam, a twenty-something, fast-talking salesman, whose latest deal collapses on the day he learns that his father has suddenly died. Against his wishes, Sam is called home, where he must put his father's estate in order and reconnect with his estranged family. In the course of fulfilling his father's last wishes, Sam uncovers a startling secret that turns his entire world upside down: He has a 30-year-old sister Frankie whom he never knew about (Elizabeth Banks). As their relationship develops, Sam is forced to rethink everything he thought he knew about this family--and re-examine his own life choices in the process

Rise Of The Guardians Trailer

Much like Snow White & The Huntsman is offering a different take on that classic fairytale, this movie is offering a new take of mythical characters that are part of the fabric of most childhoods.

Santa Claus leads his own version of The Avengers including The Easter Bunny and The Tooth Fairy, against the evil spirit known as Pitch who wants to take over the world and destroy the imagination and dreams of children everywhere!

TV Spot for Lockout

This is a bit of an under the radar action film that is basically the Die Hard formula set on a outer space maximum security prison, with Guy Pearce seemingly having a blast as a wisecracking John McClane style badass sent in to rescue the President's daughter from aforementioned prison.

Personally I think it looks a lot of fun and seems to have pushed the limit of it's budget with reasonable success.

New Prometheus TV Spot

Expectations were high for this and so far it has exceeded them in look and tone, could this really be as good as we all hoped? I sure think so, Ridley has not made a career out of sci fi films but the twice he's took on the genre he's created classics, Prometheus looks like a hat-trick!

Snow White & The Huntsman - 60 Second TV Spot

This has been the surprise package for me of this summer's blockbusters, hopefully the film lives up to the awesome trailers as the view is that this will kick off a trilogy on an epic LOTR's style scale.

The new spot features a bit of new footage including a scene with the Queen and a young Snow White as well as scene with the Queen and the Prince, a character that has not featured a lot in the promotion.
