Keanu Reeves to Star in Sci-Fi Chick Flick: PASSENGERS

Deadline reports that Keanu Reeves is set to star in Brian Kirk's feature film debut: Passengers written by Jon Spaihts, who wrote Prometheus and Universal's upcoming Mummy reboot.
The story follows a spacecraft transporting thousands of people to a distant colony planet that has a malfunction in one of its sleep chambers. As a result, a single passenger (Reeves) is awakened 90 years before anyone else. Faced with the prospect of growing old and dying alone, he eventually decides to wake up a second passenger, marking the beginning of what becomes a unique love story.
The role of the female passenger has yet to be cast, and the film is to be made available to distributors next month at the Cannes Film Festival.
It's been all quiet on the Reeves front lately, we all know how good his last MAJOR film, the ill-received remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still was, and Reeves is also set to star in 47 Ronin, whenever the hell that thing even comes out.
