Painted Skin: The Resurrection: Debuts on Blu-ray®, DVD and Digital November 13th

Chinese mythology comes vividly to life in Director Wuershan’s (The Butcher, the Chef, and the Swordsman) supernatural epic PAINTED SKIN: THE RESURRECTION, debuting on Blu-ray™, DVD and Digital November 13th from Well Go USA Entertainment.  The director reunited the stars of Painted Skin with Xun Zhou (Flying Swords of Dragon Gate) reprising her role as “Xiaowei” and Wei Zhao (14 Blades) returning as “Princess Jing” in the highest-grossing Chinese film in cinematic history.

PAINTED SKIN: THE RESURRECTION also stars Kun Chen (Flying Swords of Dragon Gate), Shaofeng Feng (White Vengeance), Mini Yang (Love in the Buff), Chinese singer Fei Xiang  and Tiangjia Chen (Shi Kong) in  a slow game of wits, deceit and seduction as a fox spirit begins a diabolical quest to become human after escaping an icy prison. Bonus features include the behind-the-scenes featurette “The Making of Painted Skin: The Resurrection.”

    Synopsis:

According to ancient lore, if a human freely offers their heart to a demon, that monster can become mortal, experiencing the true pains and passions of existence.  Xiaowei (Zhou), a millennia-old fox spirit, is freed from her frozen prison and transforms into a dangerous seductress. To maintain her youthful beauty she is forced to consume living hearts as she searches for her chance to become human. Meanwhile, Princess Jing (Zhao), hiding her marred beauty behind a golden mask, flees an unknown threat to her kingdom by pursuing the only man she ever loved: the guard who was unable to protect her so many years ago.
