"The Amazing Spider-Man" Poster

After a bootleg copy appeared earlier this week, we finally got to see the teaser for "The Amazing Spider-Man" this week. Looked kind of like a horror film more than it did a reboot of "your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man." At least it was better than "The Dark Knight Rises" teaser, so there's that.
Further questionable marketing involves gives us the teaser poster for "The Amazing Spider-Man" showing off a detailed close up of the new suit. The good thing, it is recognizable as being a Spider-Man flick and it is better than "The Avengers" teaser poster. The bad, lazy marketing.
We saw this in 2006 with "Superman Returns" and before that in 2005 with "Batman Begins" courtesy of The Brothers Warner. Although both of those flicks had decent performances at the box office, "The Dark Knight" marketing proved there is more to getting people to notice you than putting a hero's logo on a one sheet
I hope the marketing doesn't continue in this direction because I think the studio has to separate themselves.
If you though the above new poster had something familiar about it, here is the Spider-Man 3" motion teaser poster for comparison purposes.

Very uninspiring. Why is the title on there twice anyway?
