    New Deathly Hallows Image

    ABC Family's latest Harry Potter Weekend officially kicked off tonight with an extended cut of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.  It seems like they run one of these Potter-a-thons at least once a month, but what has this one keeping Muggles everywhere glued to their TVs is the promise of new footage from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2, which opens in theaters on July 15.

    Well, the first new footage aired about an hour ago, and it looked fantastic.  It's definitely going to be one hell of a finale.  While it's not officially online yet, you can see a taped-from-the-tv version here.  In the meantime, ABC Family's official website has posted the new photo above from the film. 

    On a side note, it apparently came as news to Regis Philbin that there is still one more Harry Potter movie left, as Daniel Radcliffe explained to him when he appeared on the show this morning.  Oh well.  At least Regis didn't call him "Harry," like he did the last time Radcliffe was on the show.

    There should be more Deathly Hallows goodies as the weekend continues, so stay tuned for more updates.
