New "The Hobbit" Set Photos
I'm still trying to figure out how the powers that be behind this movie still believe they are going to hit that December 2012 release date. Seems like a tall tale with an 18 month shoot ahead of them, but what do I know. I'm just kind of a writer.
The folks over at TheOneRing have some new production photos from the set of the Hobbit located in Miramar, New Zealand.
Here is some more in depth info on what the location may be that Latino Review dug up:
Moria is the name given to the underground city, mines, and tunnels underneath the central Misty Mountains. It was a thriving Dwarvish community that excavated mithril. As for The Lonely Mountain, it was the dwarven stronghold with large amounts of gold and treasure—which attracted Smaug, the dragon, to the mountain.
