Harry Potter Just Wants to Sing

With all of the drama surrounding the much-maligned Spiderman musical, it's hard to believe there are actually other big shows opening on Broadway this season...at least, shows that are still scheduled to open on time without sending any of their actors to the emergency room. Case in point: How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, starring Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe as CEO-in-training J. Pierrepont Finch, which is set to start previews this week.
Vogue talked with Radcliffe during a photo shoot with Annie Liebovitz about his impending musical theater debut. Having already wowed theater audiences in London and New York with his performance in Equus, getting back to the stage won't be an issue. But dancing on stage for the first time? OK, that makes him a little nervous. However, he does seem geniunely excited to be doing the show, and more than a little relieved that, unlike Equus (in which his character infamously got naked and blinded horses on stage), this is a show that entire families can enjoy. You can watch the full Vogue interview here.
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying starts previews at the Al Hischfeld Theater on February 26, and opens officially on March 27. In addition to Radcliffe, the show also stars John Larroquette as Radcliffe's boss, J.B. Biggley, and will feature the voice of CNN's Anderson Cooper as the narrator.
