First Look at Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man!

Sony has just released the first look at British actor Andrew Garfield (excellent in flicks like The Social Network and Boy A) as the new Spider-Man. My reaction is not unlike seeing Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander. It's different enough from the last actor who occupied the role but still recognizable to the character. I like it.

Curious to see the public's reaction to this.

Just saw the image myself a little while ago. First I am glad they went with a new look. I did love the raimi film suit. Its one of my fav comics to screen looks. The reboot suit I think is pretty cool. Overall right colors and cool design. Looks like they took ben reily spiderman suit designa bit. Can't wait to see it in action and see what the mask looks like.

It's pretty good, but the first thing I noticed was the bunched-up textures on the stomach looked like someone overused the clonestamp tool in photoshop. Ah well, it probably looks good in motion, I wonder why they arent' showing the mask.

probably just wanted to show off andrew's face i guess. I am sure a image of the mask will be online soon enough.

The mask is a big deal for me, so I'll need to see it before I can judge. That having been said, I like the suit so far. The colors are good and the design is interesting. I still like the Raimi/Maguire suit better, but this works and it makes me more comfortable with Garfield as Peter. The picture itself is also very interesting. I look forward to seeing more.

He looks good to me! I don't understand what people over at IMDb are complaining about, but I guess that's just par for the course over there.

The mask will probably be fine, aswell.
