New Photos of Captain America's Suit surface Online!

The first on set photos of Captain Americas suit have been revealed online via The Daily Mail.

Apparently it's a stuntman in the suit and not Chris Evans himself in the photos. The scene involves a motorbike chase between Steve Rogers and agents of H.Y.D.R.A. I have to say, I don't know if it's just the angle or because we're not seeing it in action, but the suit looks like shit in these photos. Also being that the film is primarily a period piece set in the world war II era the bad guys and their bikes also look god awful in comparison to what I expected to see. However Thor did look like all kinds of ass until the footage revealed showed the suits and sets in a much more flattering light, on the other hand they did still look pretty damn cheesy in action much like what I'll now be expecting from Cap.

Captain America: The First Avenger opens everywhere July 22, 2011.

Cut to the studio releasing a more polished picture of Evans in the suit to push through the negativity. Wait for it.

They're only stunt suits. Get over it.

this will bomb so hard. how can the studio expect this to make money based on how the suits look?

i understand that the suit is bigger since its for the stunt. but come on heheheheheheheh.

Pete's right, We'll get a new pic from the studio either today or tomorrow. I just hope it looks a lot better then the "stunt suit".

Stunt pics from a movie based on a comic book blending fantasy characters and vehicles in a specific historical time period.
I'm willing to give it all the benefit of the doubt and save my opinion for the post movie assesssment. Same with Thor.

Good point Jon. I'll give it a chance too, but regardless of this being stunt pics they still look ridiculous. I also heard before though that the suit progresses through out the film, I just hope this is true.

suit looks great in photos. So glad they decided to do painted on wings for the helmet. In the concept artwork it was looking lacking there. Also the hydra agents look cool. Great looking bikes for them and cap.

I like the design and can't wait to see Evans in what should be a more form fitting version. I couldn't understand the backlash from seeing a stunt man, in still photos no less.

Is it me or are the helmet wings painted on?

I am a huge Marvel Comics Fan, but I just haven't been impressed by anything they have shown from this movie so far. We went to Comicon and Chris Evans looked just so bored to be there. He also spoke as if he was just doing the movie to be doing a movie. There was no thrill in being Captain America. Chris Hemsworth acted the same way towards us all. It was like 'Big Deal', what a waste of time. The best part of being in Hall H that day was the enthusiasm and love shown to us by Robert Downey Jr. You can tell he actually loves working for Marvel and what it stands for.
This is just my opinion, so please don't hate me. I am just not thrilled by Chris Evans at all, that includes his attitude. They should have chosen a better actor. I don't believe he can lead a movie and they didn't get any 'great' actors to back him up. As for the outfits and motorcycles, (I did laugh about that. My son does computer graphic work and he said they looked like toys he had when he was younger. Come to think of it they really do.) somehow, it looks as though Marvel isn't spending much money on this one. They also placed it at impossible odds at getting box-office success it's opening weekend. Harry Potter opens the weekend before and Cowboys and Aliens with Daniel Craig & Harrison Ford the weekend after. I just have personal doubts Chris Evans can hold his own against those two films and actors. This movie will have to be 'really fantastic' to survive. I will hope for the best.
