Justin Bieber Gets a 3D Biopic?!

In what is surely great news for 11-year-old girls everywhere, Entertainment Weekly is reporting that tween pop sensation Justin Bieber will be starring in his own 3D film next year. But this won't just be a concert film, as Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers have done before him. It will also be a biopic, detailing Bieber's life story thus far.
That last part is a bit of a WTF, seeing as how Bieber is only 16 years old and from the few times I've seen him on TV, I'm still not entirely convinced that his voice has dropped yet. It may just be me getting older, but I did spend several minutes trying to figure out who that little boy was when I saw him on the cover of a teen magazine a few months ago. But the kids love him, and I guess when the video for one of your songs breaks the record for the most views on YouTube, it's time for a 3D movie.
After leaving several virtually incomprehensible messages expressing his excitement via Twitter (yeah, he's definitely 16) Beiber did release an actual statement:
“When the idea for a movie first came to us, we knew immediately this was our chance to give something very special back to the all fans who have been a huge source of inspiration and support throughout my entire career thus far. They simply make my dreams come true everyday. I cannot wait to share all the great experiences I’ve had over the last few years with them.”
Oh, all right Justin...while I have no intention of seeing this movie, it seems you are indeed adorable.
Justin Bieber in 3D will arrive in theaters on Valentine's Day weekend, 2011.
