    New Trailer "The Company Men"

The new trailer for The Company Men from the Weinstein Company opening in theaters on October 22 is now online courtesy of Yahoo!Movies. Written and directed by John Wells, the drama stars Ben Affleck, Chris Cooper, Kevin Costner, Tommy Lee Jones, Rosemarie DeWitt, Maria Bello and Craig T. Nelson.

In the film, Bobby Walker (Affleck) is living the American dream: great job, beautiful family, shiny Porsche in the garage. When corporate downsizing leaves him and co-workers Phil Woodward (Cooper) and Gene McClary (Jones) jobless, the three men are forced to re-define their lives as men, husbands, and fathers. Bobby soon finds himself enduring enthusiastic life coaching, a job building houses for his brother-in-law (Costner) which does not play to his executive skill set, and perhaps the realization that there is more to life than chasing the bigger, better deal.

I think more than anything it's nice to see Ben Afleck back at full form. I never personally felt like he fell off, but I know a lot of people were quick to drop him like a bad habit after Gili. At any rate between this and his next directorial effort and lead role in The Town how can you not feel like Afleck is bringing his A Game.

Also with this many academy award winners as the trailer is quick to point out can you really go wrong?

I agree Mitch, Affleck is hitting the return trail hard with this and The Town. This looks a good drama that many will relate too, but it seems to try and take an uplifting approach as opposed to wallowing, which means less people will be turned away.

When they were filming in the Boston area, I met Tommy, Ben, and his wife Jen. It was great.
