A New Trailer for a New Nightmare

On April 30th, the Michael Bay produced A Nightmare on Elm Street slashes its way into theaters. Its a re-imagining of the story of Freddy Krueger, the hideously scarred antagonist of Wes Craven's film by the same name in 1984 that made us all think twice before closing our eyes at night.
I really want to like this movie. See what you think of the trailer below.

wow!....no, not really, this trailer was very "meh" for me.
And this is weird because everything up to this point I have defended and stood by, saying this movie will kick ass. I hate to jump on the band wagon with the haters, but this trailer was not scary at all, and Freddy’s dialogue, well what we heard of it anyway was very boring and didn't seem very well thought out or creative, like the line "what are you screaming for?, I haven’t even cut you yet"....booooernnns, who wrote this crap.
Don't get me wrong I love NOES and I'll probably still see this in theatres, but I wasn't blown away by this trailer at all. I think they spent too much time hyping fans up for this big reveal of Freddy’s voice and face that when you actually hear it, it's nothing close to what you've got your expectation up to.
One other thing the scene with Freddy coming thru the wall sucked, using CGI for this seemed really lazy on the filmmaker’s part, I'm sorry but sometimes good old fashion movie magic works better then blue screen cgi garbage for everything.
I just hope the movie turns out better then what this trailer looks like
