TMT Exclusive: The Teaser Poster For 'Mask-Head'

One of my most popular stories recently was a brief interview with writer-director Scott Swan.
In the piece, Swan promised to thank his first 500 followers on Twitter in the end credits of a movie -- if he reached the 500-follower milestone by July 4 at 6 p.m. PST.

Well, Swan reached the mark, but due to the ever-changing nature of the Internet, he has dipped under 500 again.
However, Swan said that since he made the goal, he will keep his end of the bargain and the names will be in the movie.

At the time I am writing this, "ScottObiSwan" is at 494 followers. So there is still room for six more people with a yearning to see their names on the big screen.

And, as that deadline fast approaches, I have uncovered something pretty cool. One of my spies was able to secure an exclusive look at the teaser poster for "Mask-Head" -- the very movie in which Swan's followers will get their names.

For my money, the image is perfect for a teaser poster -- it's appropriately creepy without revealing very much.

"Mask-Head" is based upon a short story written by Swan, who also is directing the movie. Filming for "Mask-Head" will get under way on July 6 in Pittsburgh.

On his Twitter page, Swan said he will deliver a "new on-set pic daily."
He also has sweetened the Twitter deal. If he reaches 550 followers by tomorrow, one of his followers will randomly win a copy of the DVD, which he said he is willing to sign.

Oh, and a word of advice: If you follow Swan to get in the movie's credits, don't drop him immediately. Not only are his posts worth reading, but you won't get your name in the movie if it isn't in his follower list when he does the credits.

Cool poster. Yes I agree it is Creepy but I like the whole shadow aspect. I have been having a lot of fun following the twitter moves of ScottObiSwan. I was watching and wildly tweeting several days ago as it went up and over the 500 mark only to suddenly go back down under. It was quite strange and even twitter didn't know what was happening as they tweeted that there was a follower/following problem.

I will be watching for what comes next and I love the idea of a picture a day. It should continue the fun and excitment. Here's to hoping the 550 mark is reached.

Sean, thanks again for a fun article.

That teaser poster has grabbed my attention. It is simple, but way better than 'The Surrogates' one sheet. I look forward to seeing the daily on set photos and the film itself.

Very good article. I like the poster also it looks almost like a shadow so it gives away just enough to be spooky but not enough to specificaly give away plot points

I'm not a huge fan of the lettering, but the image itself is very cool.

I have this new poster and synopsis.

Directed by Fred Vogel and Scott Swan (co-author of John Carpenter's Cigarette Burns from the Masters of Horror series,) MASKHEAD tells the tale of Syl and Maddie, a lesbian couple who produce fetish videos starring unsuspecting young talent wrangled by a mysterious man known as the Cowboy, and their vicious plaything know as Maskhead who fulfills the girls' own private twisted fetish.

The new movie is currently available for preorder at http://www.toetagpictures.com/webstore/index.php?main_page=products_new&zenid=4b7475a804bedbe18dd4bc5a3271ccdc

The movie is officially out and people are loving it so far. Toetag has it available at their website.

Here are some anonymous fan reviews:

"I found this movie to be truly scary and disturbing and difficult to watch. I have never seen another movie that mixed humor with genuine horror and I wasn't sure how to take it. It bothered me a little when my friend said "that's an all around good time." People talk about how some of the scenes from the August Underground movies get stuck in their head. Maskhead did that for me. Saying that though, I really did love the movie. It's unlike anything I've ever seen. I would put it up there with Penance and Redsin as my favorite ToeTag movies."

"I loved it. Totally twisted and hilarious.

So many great scenes and the spfx were top notch.

The film was very well casted and I think the music/sound of the film is great too.

I've also had the opening line of the film stuck in my head for days, haha."

"MASKHEAD is definitely one of Toe Tag's best! For me, it ranks second behind THE REDSIN TOWER with PENANCE third. Very stylish with some intense and nasty moments. The gore was excellent with Jerami doing a splendid job as always. I really liked the ending.

Overall, a very sick ass, stylish effort from Toe Tag that I'm happy to say I helped out on.

Will do an more in-depth review for FearZone hopefully this weekend. I'll let you all know when it's posted."

There are more in-depth, spoiler included, reviews on the Toetag forum at http://www.toetagpictures.com/forums/index.php?topic=4347.0

This is a great movie, everyone should check it out!
