What a great weekend at the box office. Two great action movies on top, that is special. Both movies are fabulous as well. For Star Trek, its great to see a new door opening for that franchise and younger people perhaps may begin to really enjoy the beauty and wisdom of Star Trek. The cast is ...which i hate to say this... mediocre at best (at least for this first prequal). I did like the performance of the actor who played spock (especially the flashbook of little spock), at times cheesy but overall good understanding of spock the character. Other castmates not very memorable to be honest and sadly i love Zoe Saldana (sp?) but i wasnt impressed by any one cast members performance. However, I was impressed with the action, space sequences, and special effects, costumes, etc. Very much like Star Wars in terms of such the grandness of costumes and intricate details. SO thumbs up the stylist and makeup artists for the movie.
Overall Thumbs up for great action, fight scenes, adventure, and excitement
