Johnny Knoxville and the Guy From MONK will be in TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTES

With the first trailer for Michael Bay/Jonathan Liebesman Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles causing ripples of butt-hurt from internet fanboys last week, now word comes from Deadline that Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa star Johnny Knoxville has joined on to provide the voice for Leonardo (the blue one), and MONK star Tony Shalhoub will be voicing Master Splinter (the rat one).

Now, Pete Ploszek played the role of Leonardo during the filming part, while Seinfeld‘s Danny Woodburn played Splinter. Insiders tell me they were always open to changing the voicing component of the Jonathan Liebesman-directed film that Paramount releases August 8, and those actors were only guaranteed to physically perform the roles in costume.

It seems pretty late in the game to me; but in "Hollywood Time" I guess it really isn't.
What do you all think? Excited for the new voices of Splinter and Leonardo?

It wasn't mentioned if Michaelangelo, Donatello, or Raphael would be getting voice changes, although I'd imagine they wouldn't since those three have more "street cred" than Leonardo's physical performer.
This also isn't the first time this has been done obviously, like with Doug Jones playing Hellboy's Abe Sapien physically while Frasier's David Hyde-Pierce provided the voice in the first film.

The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April O'Neil (Megan Fox) and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett) to save the city and unravel Shredder's diabolical plan.

Sources Say BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN is an "Utter Nightmare" To Work On

It's been all quiet at Camp Warner Brothers in regards to the hotly anticipated Untitled Batman Vs. Superman film set to release Summer 2016. However, our trusty source has provided ThinkMcFlyThink with some incredibly interesting new details.

Batman Vs. Superman was recently thrown into a bloody fan-war when it was announced that the Captain America: The Winter Soldier sequel would open against it in a first of it's kind grudge match, now word comes from ThinkMcFlyThink's trusted source inside Warner Bros' DC camp that the movie is falling apart before it's even began.

It's an utter nightmare, the team were supposed to start filming soon for the 2015 release, and it was pushed back a whole year, a whole year, because literally nothing has been done so far.

The source claims that the announcement of the film at 2013's Comic Con wasn't even planned to begin with, and the shocking surprise tookWB CEO Kevin Tsujihara by storm.

Zack walks into the office the day after we released Man of Steel and goes "ok that was good, that was good guys; but f*** it, we need Batman in that!"  and we all, Kevin included, just looked at him and we're like, Zack, look we're working hard to work from what Marvel is doing, we're trying to build our cohesive universe slowly and intimately, and Zack Snyder just looks Tsujihara dead in the eye as he's about to talk and goes "shut the f*** up"

Naturally the source said no one believed Zack until he called up Harry Lennix and paid him $1000 out of pocket to read the famous line from The Dark Knight Returns at Comic Con, taking the internet by pure fan-fare and excitement. Zack even hired ILM to make the graphic shown on display himself. Warner Bros was thought they were going to show a graphic for a natural sequel; Man of Steel 2.

The source says no pre-production has even gotten done, and after WB made some last minute (and costly) talks with Ben Affleck to lead as Batman, things are slowly getting worse.

It was announced that Chris Terrio would follow Affleck off of their Oscar win to the Batman Vs. Superman film, and our source recalls Terrio's first day at the Studio.

Chris, nice guy, love him to death, walks in and Zack or Henry aren't even there. It's a few of us, David [Goyer], and Ben, and we're just sitting there. Finally 10 minutes later Zack and Henry walk in and Zack goes "what are you all staring at? Sorry I was at the [WB Staff Gym and Fitness Center], enjoy your beer guts". Seriously you can't make this shit up.

When Terrio told Snyder about his ideas for the hastily thrown together film, featuring some war aspects between Khandaq and Biyala, Snyder commented that the script and ideas were "too s*****", and that Wonder Woman should be thrown into "shut those f****** nerds up" which was contrary to Terrio and Goyer's planned slow burn and character study, examining why the world needs Superman, and what the destruction of Metropolis meant on a character based level.

Eventually, the source said Snyder got fed up with Terrio and Goyer:

"Finally Zack just looks at him and goes 'If you two chuckle-f**** want to make the Avengers then go across the street and leave us alone, this is my Superman movie, and he's gonna fight Batman and that's all there is too it. Maybe Wonder Woman can be a businesswoman spy or something'"

That lead into the straw that broke the camel's back, after a young intern spoke up to Snyder.

"The poor kid, his name was Julian I think, poor kid looks up with this big smile on his face and goes 'Oh cool, like The Black Widow was in Iron Man?' and Zack just went dead silent, he stared at the kid for a whole 2 minutes in dead silence, no one spoke, we thought it was a joke you know; but Snyder just blinks slowly and whispers "Leave or I swear to God I will choke-slam you into next week"

The source confirmed that no one is happy with the way the film is going, and that the end result will bury the DC properties 6 feet in Hollywood dirt. Our source speculates that Kevin Tsujihara only greenlit this film because he is a huge fan of the sexualization of women Zack Snyder showcased in Sucker Punch. Against hell and high-water though, the source reluctantly said the movie will "probably" meet it's projected 2016 release.

Also, check the date for more info.

First Trailer for TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES

From Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: LA, Wrath of the Titans) and visionary auteur Michael Bay (Bad Boys II, Transformers: Age of Extinction) comes the first look at the reboot of the wildly popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from Paramount and Nickelodeon.

Ahh, the nerds are already crying.
The heroes in a half-shell are experiencing a renaissance of popularity after Nick launched the new animated series in 2012 with toys being sold out and the ratings steady for the show to be entering it's third season.

The film stars Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, and Pete Ploszek as Leonardo with William Fitchner as The Shredder.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles raises some shell on August 8, 2014.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Drops Some Juicy Details on TERMINATOR Reboot; TWO T-800s?

Speaking about his film releasing this week, SABOTAGE, with MTV, renowned actor and legendary action star Arnold Schwarzenegger discussed the project *everyone* really wants to know about regarding Schwarzenegger's future filmography, namely the TERMINATOR reboot.

"It will be challenging because it will be a new director, and it will be a really action packed movie," Schwarzengger said of the movie, which starts shooting in April. "And sometimes it does get more difficult when you're 66 years old and doing this kind of action, versus when you're in your 30s or in your 40s."

This then got to Arnold's age, something many have been curious as to how a robot manages to look like Arnold, who's almost into his 70s, when they "dont age."

"The way that the character is written, it's a machine underneath," Schwarzenegger continued. "It's this metal skeleton. But above that is human flesh. And the Terminator's flesh ages, just like any other human being's flesh. Maybe not as fast. But it definitely ages."

It was then Arnold dropped a somewhat spoilerish explanation that actually raises more questions than it answers:

"Terminator deals a lot with time travel, so there will be a younger T-800," Schwarzenegger added, blowing our minds, "and then what that model does later on when it gets reprogrammed, and who gets ahold of him. So it will be all kinds of interesting twists in the movie, but I feel so good."

TERMINATOR: GENESIS is the seq-preq-reboot of the time-travel action franchise which saw it's latest installment in 2009 with McG's TERMINATOR: Salvation which starred Christian Bale as John Connor.

The upcoming film, slated for a summer 2015 release, stars Emilia Clarke (HBO's Game of Thrones) as Sarah Connor, who is unkowingly meant to birth the savior of a future war, John Connor (Jason Clarke, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) against the sentient A.I., Skynet, and it's army of robots.
To prevent this, Skynet sends a special killing machine known as a "Terminator" to dispatch Connor before she's allowed to birth John.
Unbeknownst to them, Connor sent someone back as well to protect his mother, a man named Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney, A Good Day to DIE HARD).

J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man) also stars in the sci-fi actioner directed by Alan Taylor (THOR: The Dark World) set to hit theaters July 1, 2015.

LIVE DIE REPEAT: New Trailer for Tom Cruise' EDGE OF TOMORROW

Tom Cruise is back to save the Sc-Fi genre again, this time with the help of Emily Blunt in the new trailer for this summer's science-fiction Groundhog's Day meets Saving Private Ryan with a dosage of Starship Troopers.

Live. Die. Repeat with Edge of Tomorrow, based off of Hiroshi Sakurazaka's acclaimed science-fiction manga All You Need is Kill.

The epic action of "Edge of Tomorrow" unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world.
Lt. Col. Bill Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again...and again.

But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.

Edge of Tomorrow blasts into theaters June 6, 2014.

First Trailer for The Rock's HERCULES Movie; No, The OTHER Hercules Movie

During Dwayne Johnson's "Rock Talk" on Twitter where thousands of people tweet at him asking about his muscles, The Rock premiered the trailer for his upcoming remake of January's The Legend of Hercules 3D directed by Brett Ratner, sadly missing are Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.

Based on Radical Comics' Hercules by Steve Moore, this ensemble-action film is a revisionist take on the classic myth, HERCULES. The epic action film also stars Golden Globe Winner Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, Peter Mullan and Academy Award®-nominee John Hurt.

Along with five faithful companions, he travels ancient Greece selling his services for gold and using his legendary reputation to intimidate enemies. But when the benevolent ruler of Thrace and his daughter seek Hercules' help to defeat a savage and terrifying warlord, Hercules finds that in order for good to triumph and justice to prevail... he must again become the hero he once was... he must embrace his own myth... he must be Hercules.

HERCULES will bench-press lions and scream at you in theaters July 25.

Liam Neeson's Bro Returns for TAKEN 3; Filming Begins This Month

Liam Neeson, fresh from saving stray dogs from thugs in Central Park, will be seeing Leland Orser again for TAKEN 3; Deadline reports.
Orser played Brian Mill's friend Sam in the previous films, 2008's TAKEN and the 2012 sequel Taken 2.
The sequel begins filming at the end of this month, and i'd place money it will probably be called TAK3N because why not.

Among others set to return are Famke Janssen,Maggie Grace, and John Gries

It was a bit of a stretch making TAKEN 2; but Neeson returned to the franchise with a wiff of $20 million as well as "no taking" policy for the films plot; but re-naming the film Taken 3Not Quite Taken might be a bit off-putting from a marketing stand-point.

The franchise has followed Liam Neeson breaking into the "old dude action hero" genre as Brian Mills, ex-CIA operative who's daughter was "taken" in Europe and sold into human trafficking, followed by the families of the 79 henchmen Neeson blew through in the first film going after him in Taken 2.

Oliver Megaton (COLUMBiANA, Transporter 3) is returning to direct.
Despite some less than stellar reviews for the previous film, the series has raked in about $284,855,276, so people obviously aren't tired of Neeson kicking ass, especially since his recent endeavor, Non Stop has made about $142 million off of it's $50 mil budget.

They're Remaking SCARFACE (Again); Expect Mexicans

Once again in an exclusive from The Wrap, it appears the Howard Hawkes and Brian De Palma tellings of an immigrant's rise to bloody power and corruption weren't enough between Italians and Cubans, so now it appears SCARFACE is getting a do-over with a nice pedigree behind it, set to tell the story of Tony as a Mexican immigrant in Los Angeles in a very modern and relevant context with Pablo Larraín in talks to direct.

“Scarface” will reimagine the core immigrant story told in both the 1932 and 1983 films. Universal's update will be an original story set in modern day Los Angeles that follows a Mexican immigrant's rise in the criminal underworld as he strives for the American Dream.

Two-time Oscar nominee Paul Attanasio (“Donnie Brasco”) wrote the current draft of the screenplay.

Obviously Latinos are a huge demographic which haven't quite been represented well enough in mainstream films with such a recent examples as Carey Mulligan replacing a would-be Latina part in 2011's DRIVE and Benedict Cumberbatch playing a would-be Latino's part in last summer's Star Trek Into Darkness; it appears films like SCARFACE and the recently released Caesar Chavez are hoping to rectify that.

On the casting of the infamous role:

The filmmakers plan to cast an authentic Latino who is bilingual and bicultural as the lead character, whose name will be Tony, though his last name won't be Camonte (1932) or Montana (1983). While Oscar Isaac, Edgar Ramirez and Michael Pena rank among Hollywood's top Latino stars who are age-appropriate for the role, the producers are also open to casting a complete unknown in the name of authenticity.

Would frankly love for Diego Luna or Gael Garcia to be possible contenders; but I'd say Pena has the most range that hasn't been really given the chance (sans End of Watch); but is currently starring in the Chavez bio-pic.

Larraín has won several awards for his films No and Tony Manero so rest assured that SCARFACE will be put into capable hands.

This news also means all of your friends with chain-wallets featuring a marijuana leaf and black-lights set up in their rooms can take down the dusty old black and white SCARFACE poster and hang a new one up in-between the one-sheets for Dazed and Confused and The Boondock Saints.

PROMETHEUS 2 Will Be Happening From The GREEN LANTERN Guy; More Fass For Your Dollar

The Wrap; which seems to be on the ball latley; have dropped some details regarding the sequel to 2012's PROMETHEUS, which has probably been the most polarizing main-stream film in recent memory.
Love it or hate it; one thing is unanimous, and that is that star Michael Fassbender's David android was the biggest draw, and don't worry: he'll be back x20.
Also, if you're a fan of WB's Green Lantern film from 2011, you'll be pleased to know that Michael Green will write the sequel to Scott's sci-fi horror adventure.

After working with Ridley Scott on a new “Blade Runner” movie, veteran scribe Michael Green has been hired to rewrite the untitled “Prometheus” sequel for 20th Century Fox, TheWrap has learned.

Jack Paglen (“Transcendence”) wrote the original draft of the screenplay.

One of the biggest gripes about PROMETHEUS seemed to have been the script (written by LOSTs Damon Lindelof) and hiring the guy from Green Lantern probably won't quell those fanboy tears any.
The article goes on:

“Prometheus” served as an ‘unofficial’ prequel to Scott's seminal 1979 sci-fi movie “Alien,” and the sequel that Green will write aims to be much more “alien-y” and in line with the terrifying tone of past films in the franchise. Additionally, the sequel is expected to feature multiple ‘David’ androids, which means there will be more than one Michael Fassbender on screen at the same time, according to an individual familiar with the project.

More Michael Fassbender is never a bad thing, given that the previous film ended with him as a talking head going off to find the Engineer homeworld with Noomi Rapace's Dr. Shaw.

Despite it's divisive critical impact, the first film made about $400 million total, which is actually pretty amazing for an R-Rated science fiction feature.

No word on exactly who is cast yet; but I'd expect Rapace to return as well as Fassbender.

Expect to see PROMETHEUS: 2Fass 2Furious in theaters March 2016.

Sam Raimi To Produce Reboot of the Remake of THE GRUDGE

It never forgives...it never forgets....until it's rebooted.

Straight from Deadline comes word that the  2004 horror film The Grudge will be getting the "horror reboot" treatment, produced by Spider-Man 2 and Evil Dead director Sam Raimi.

The Grudge, the Takashi Shimazu-directed 2004 film that helped establish the viability of low-cost genre films, is getting a reboot. Ghost House Pictures and Good Universe will relaunch the franchise, and they’ve setMidnight Meat Train scribe Jeff Buhlerto draft the reboot.

The Grudge was an American remake of the Japanese film, Ju-On, and went on to rake in some big change and spawn a few direct to DVD sequels.

The film tells the story of a live in nurse who goes to take care of an elderly woman in her home, only to find out the house has more than it's fair share of demons who begin to control and threten the lives of everyone inside.

The original starred Buffy's Sarah Michelle Gellar and Bill Pullman among others.
