Movie Moan: Summer Starts 'NOW' in the UK, Bitches!

We hope you like reviews cause we have 'em up to the gills this week.  While the Yanks Queen Kristina, Ed and Jamie have to wait another week for Thor, Phil's seen it and gives us his review. Meanwhile, Kristina and Jamie sat through Fast Five – you know, the film "where summer starts now" for us.

    Here's this week's breakdown:

    4:50 mins - 'Thor' review

20:55 mins - 'Fast Five' review

27:50 mins - Jamie bitch-blubbering through this past week's episode of The Office, "Goodbye, Michael."

33:10 mins - A brief chat on the trailer for Immortals (Spoiler alert: nobody was kind)

36:50 mins - The "Moan of the Week": The World According to Garp, from director George Roy Hill and starring Robin Williams.

Plus, this week's show has all sorts of visual surprises too.  Watch us in high definition (yeah right!) Blip video above or download us as an MP3 below.

Movie Moan: Summer 2011 Prediction Power Hour

    Place your bets!

This week's Movie Moan comes to you live from the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City where we'll be putting everything on the line to make our predictions as to the smashes, bombs, sleepers and everything else in between at the box-office.

Which of the four comic-book superhero movies will make the biggest bank? Have audiences finally grown tired of Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow crap? How high will Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows – Part II reach? Is the general public as interested in Super 8 as us nerds are? How badly will Rise of the Planet of the Apes flop?  And most important of all just how bloody likely would it be for Donald Trump to listen to Phil, Queen Kristina and Jamie?

You can download us as an MP3 below or watch us in video enhanced glory above.  And just in case you want to skip a specific blockbuster prediction, here are the cliff notes:

    Thor (May 6th) - 3:50 mins
    Bridesmaids (May 13th) - 7:50 mins
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (May 20th) - 11:35 mins

    X-Men: First Class (June 3rd) - 26:55 mins

Movie Moan: The Most Anticipated Review Of The Decade!

Jamie Williams has seen Scream 4!  The world will shake when it hears his opinion of it.  And in truly evil fashion, this week's podcast will not reveal that opinion until the end of the show (and relentlessly tease you about it until that time!).  Elsewhere:-

5:50 mins - Phil & Jamie bickering over Your Highness

11 mins - The trailer to Rise of the Planet of the Apes

18 mins - Will the world want to see another origin story with The Man of Steel?

26 mins - Why on Earth would fanboys bitch and moan about Jon Chu directing when your precious G.I. Joe movie is called Cobra Strikes?

37 mins - The "Moan of the Week" - Indictment: The McMartin Trial

Watch us on the embedded video above or simply download us as MP3 goodness below (cause everyone listens to our show at the gym right?).

    Movie Moan: It's Soooooooooo 'Re!'

We at the Movie Moan podcast felt there needed to be a change. No, no, Daddy isn't going to live someplace else and it wasn't your fault, honey. But it's time to spice up the show or reboot, restart, revamp, re-whatever-term-you-prefer.

Now you have the option of listening to us through the usual MP3 link below or watching us above as a audio-visual spectacular.  Here's what's on the agenda for this week:

5 mins - Spoiler-heavy discussion over Source Code.

14 mins - Will Star Trek 2 make its Summer 2012 release date?

23 mins - Reactions to that Green Lantern footage.

26:30 mins - Concerns over changes made to Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows – Part II.

35:30 mins -  The thought of a Justice League movie in 2013 with alternate Superman and Batman actors.

44 mins - 'The Moan Of The Week' -  Equilibrium.

    Movie Moan: Concession Stand Confessions

They've talked about it before. But this week's podcast, Phil, Queen Kristina, Ed & Jamie discuss the money-draining ritual that is concession stands. Do they ever sneak in their food or ethically (read: stupidly) shell out the $10-$15 for popcorn, soda and candy? Maybe they're risk-takers and go for the messy nachos or even partake in the theater hotdog? And is there such a thing as eating popcorn too loudly?

Then again this show's called Movie Moan and, there are movie-news items to bitch about too.

MGM bows to fears from their Chinese overlords and changes the ethnicity of the Red Dawn villains to Koreans. Darren Aronofsky drop outs of The Wolverine. Nobody seems to know the real reason behind the move, but that hasn't stopped the continuous "Fuck Fox and Tom Rothman!" stance from fanbitches. *Sigh* Joseph Gordon-Levitt is not only confirmed for The Dark Knight Rises, but he'll portray Alberto Falcone. Does that mean he'll appear as the Holiday Killer as in the comics?

All of that plus Jennifer Lawrence officially cast as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games, David Slade directing Fox's Daredevil reboot, reactions to the new Wonder Woman suit and Robert Zemeckis' Yellow Submarine remake getting sunk much to Phil's approval.
