Movie Moan: Summer Starts 'NOW' in the UK, Bitches!
We hope you like reviews cause we have 'em up to the gills this week. While the Yanks Queen Kristina, Ed and Jamie have to wait another week for Thor, Phil's seen it and gives us his review. Meanwhile, Kristina and Jamie sat through Fast Five – you know, the film "where summer starts now" for us.
Here's this week's breakdown:
4:50 mins - 'Thor' review
20:55 mins - 'Fast Five' review
27:50 mins - Jamie bitch-blubbering through this past week's episode of The Office, "Goodbye, Michael."
33:10 mins - A brief chat on the trailer for Immortals (Spoiler alert: nobody was kind)
36:50 mins - The "Moan of the Week": The World According to Garp, from director George Roy Hill and starring Robin Williams.
Plus, this week's show has all sorts of visual surprises too. Watch us in high definition (yeah right!) Blip video above or download us as an MP3 below.

I'm going to wait til next week to watch this episode. I want to see Thor first before I see, hear or read any reviews of it. I will say this Jamie Williams Thor will be #1 this weekend not Fast Five. I guarantee it!
You can watch the review. There really aren't many spoilers in it beside the obvious. Watch my review. WAAAAAAAATCH IT..........please :)
Don't worry Phil I will watch the review as soon as I watch the movie this weekend. You have my word. Spoilers or no spoilers I want to watch the movie with a fresh mind. That's how I roll when it comes to movies I see in theaters.
"Let's watch this with little, 10 year old Simon"
Oddly (or worryingly) enough, I was around that age when I first saw "The World According to Garp"! I'm still baffled by that randomly bleak ending! It's definitely true that Williams was much more of "the actor" in the 80's. I think what changed his career was Good Morning Vietnam ; not only was that film a huge box office hit, but it got Williams his first Oscar nomination and even though that film had one foot in comedy, the other in tradgedy (like Garp), it was the on-air radio scenes that really got the most attention (even though the real-life Adrien Cronauer was nowhere near that much of an extrovert and is actually quite conservative). His film choices became a lot safer in the 90's (Hook, Mrs Doubtfire, Aladdin) and when he did the odd "worthy" film (like Being Human or What Dreams May Come), they felt too much like a left of field reactions to his more mainstream fair... and more than a little pretentious. The Fisher King and Good Will Hunting were the notable exceptions in that decade, where comedy and pathos were juggled well (and Williams has always been one of the best actors for that purpose)...
I have Tiptoes lying around, but have never put myself through it....
now I now what to watch, later on!
Actually, there is one particular trailer even worse than Tiptoes. But I think I'm gonna save it for Halloween. It's going to be unholy.
Ok I'm sorry I took awhile to watch the review I didn't watch Thor until yesterday. I've also been having computer problems. Anyway I thought Thor was better than I thought it was going to be. I thought the same about Iron Man 1 and Incredible Hulk.
I don't care for Fast Five or any Fast & Furious movie at all.
Yeah I agree The Office should end without Steve Carell. I miss him so much. :(
