Fuck "Two Thumbs Up" or the five-star system. The Movie Moan team has concocted a new manner of rating movies – the Arby's Scale. The only one that's both informative and delicious!

With everything relatively light on the news-front, Phil, Ed, Lou & Jamie stick with reviews and a single (albeit lengthy) discussion for this week's podcast. Lou gives his thoughts on Tron: Legacy footage screened at the Toronto Fan-Expo as well as his review for The Last Exorcism. Phil reviews Avatar: Special Edition and Ed reviews Machete.

Now that the 2010 Summer movie season is officially over this Labor Day holiday weekend, the guys reflect on what they've seen. What movies worked, what didn't and everything else in between including random off-topic discussions like Phil's memories of The Lovely Bones and how Jamie thinks Stallone should have done Rocky 5.

Hey loyal listeners, thanks for stopping by but I'm afraid your Movie Moan fix will go unsatisfied this week and there will be no new podcast.

Most of us are engaged in other important duties today and ask for your forgiveness.  Rest assured, we will return next week.

To be fair, 'Crashing Hollywood' have themselves a missing show so it's only fair that we do the same.

Movie Moan: I Spit on This Podcast

The Movie Moan crew (Phil, Ed, Lou, Queen Kristina and Jamie) didn't see anything new this weekend. Save for Lou who checked out the I Spit on Your Grave remake early and gives us his thoughts.

In the week of news, the gang talks up the latest on X-Men: First Class and ask if the general public cares about that franchise anymore. Hugh Jackman appears to have resigned himself to the fact that he'll forever be Wolverine in the eyes of most. So, of course, he's dropped out of the comedy Avon Man and doing another solo Logan movie. Phil and her Majesty mourn the death of a third Hellboy movie.

All of that, plus the Ninja Turtles getting rebooted yet again, Rooney Mara is confirmed to headline The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo with Daniel Craig, Jamie does his James Lipton impression and this week's debate: do people truly listen to critics in any capacity anymore?

Yep, another Simpsons reference. But to be fair, you would expect nothing less from us on the Movie Moan podcast!

This week, Lou offers a Memo to M. Night Shyamalan, Phil crucifies Sylvester Stallone for The Expendables and the gang tackles Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Their thoughts on the film itself, how the Internet once again over-hyped a movie as "the next big thing" only to have to bomb in front of their faces and what’s next for Edgar Wright.

A couple of brief discussions follow on the Star Wars trilogies hitting Blu-Ray in Fall of 2011 (the Hell?!), why Phil won’t waste his money on them and Disney announcing a June 8, 2012 release on John Carter of Mars. This week's debate comes courtesy of Lou: what films are commercially viable in this day and age?

That's how George Lucas pitched the infamous pig-transformation scene from the "classic" Willow. At least according to Jamie.

On this week's podcast, Phil eviscerates Knight & Day and Jamie reviews The Other Guys. In a weak weeks' worth of news, the guys discuss Jon Favreau and Disney being on the outs, Quentin Tarantino rumored to be directing The Shadow, Stephen Sommers helming the G.I. Joe sequel, Liam Neeson exits Lincoln and Ridley Scot attached to Forever War.

All of that plus the passing of the great Tom Mankiewicz, Phil catching up with video-games, Yogi-Bear and this week's debate on the shitty state of movie-posters.
