Starbucks Responds To Slowing Economy With $7 Cup Of Coffee
The unemployment rate in October was 7.9 percent, that totals about 12.3 million Americans that are unemployed, but that hasn't stopped coffee juggernaut Starbucks from introducing a $7 cup of coffee according to the Washington Post. If you don't want to purchase the seven dollar 16-ounce grande coffee you can opt for the six dollar 12-ounce tall instead to save a couple of your hard earned dollars. You can also have the option to brew at home if you purchase half-pound of the rare Costa Rican coffee called Geisha for $40.
I'm more of a Dunkin Donuts guy myself, but sometimes I choose to "Trust The Local Flavor" of Honey Dew Donuts. However, it doesn't mean there isn't a market for the most expensive coffee Starbucks has ever brewed. The Starbucks customer is now looking at coffee as one would wine. Pretty soon you're going to be hearing the terms "buttery" and "oak" when discussing coffees. You laugh, but this isn't far off.
