People Are Awesome 2013: A Video Of Awesome Things

I guess the guy who posted this also got eleventeen million hits on some other video he posted, but I don't really care about any of that. I care about the video below, a bunch of people doing awesome things. People jumping, people gliding, people throwing, people catching. It's American as apple pie but with worldwide appeal.

Biggest Boss Move Of 2013: Student Comes Out At Award Ceremony

You got to hand it to this kid, balls of steel. Jacob Rudolph riled 300 plus classmates into a standing ovation when he came out during an award ceremony in Parsippany, N.J. The below speech was fitting since he was being presented the "Class Actor Award". The kid's father was so damn proud he uploaded the video himself.

"Sure I've been in a few plays and musicals, but more importantly, I've been acting every single day of my life. You see, I've been acting as someone i'm not. Most of you see me every day. You see me acting the part of "straight" Jacob, when I am in fact LGBT. Unlike millions of other LGBT teens who have had to act every day to avoid verbal harassment and physical violence, I'm not going to do it anymore. It's time to end the hate in our society and accept the people for who they are regardless of their sex, race, orientation, or whatever else may be holding back love and friendship. So take me, leave me, or move me out of the way. Because I am what I am, and that's how I'm going to act from now on."

Internet Complains About Mercedes' Kate Upton Super Bowl Commercial

Apparently there is a select group of the internet that hates hot women. According to Yahoo Shine bloggers are complaining about a new Mercedes commercial that shows Kate Upton enticing men to wash her car while a blues riff blares in the background. What bloggers are complaining about this? You're either un-American or jealous. I wonder what it's like to hate fun?

I think Mercedes is playing this the right way. They are obviously presenting this in a tongue and cheek manner, and by getting behind the hottest woman in the world attempting to change the demographics of their brand. Maybe they don't want blue hairs who spend half their time in Florida being the only ones who buy their cars. You'll certainly cover the entire male demo, and what female wouldn't want to be Kate Upton? I sure want them to.

Video below, or you can wait until February 3rd when it airs during the Super Bowl.

NEW YORK (January 12, 2013) -- The National Hockey League’s 2012-13 regular season will commence on Saturday, Jan. 19, with 26 of the NHL’s 30 teams in action.  This season, each team will play a 48-game schedule comprised entirely of games against Clubs within its conference.  The regular season concludes Saturday, Apr. 27, with another 13-game slate.  The 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs begin Tuesday, Apr. 30.

Jessica Simpson Is "Bumpin & Proud"

Just as her Weight Watchers magazine cover is presenting itself in retailers across the country Jessica Simpson is taking to her Twitter to show that pregnant is certainly still hot.

The 32 year old multi-talented diva tweeted a picture of herself in an open robe wearing a revealing bikini. Weight Watchers is sticking with Simpson, after her impressive 50 pound weight loss. I'm thinking 2014 is her year.

    Russian Plane Crashes Into Highway

I've been involved in a couple of car crashes in my time behind the wheel, I've also witnessed a handful. None of these accidents involved planes however. Below is a video where a Russian plane destroys the road and some cars in it's path.

Toddler Almost Gets Kidnapped By Canadian Eagle

Things that happen in Canada usually stay in Canada, unless you're a Golden Eagle. Apparently if you are, you can just snatch up innocent toddlers and bring them back to your nest. That's what almost happens to this poor kid, but luckily the dillusional eagle drops him only a foot or so off the ground.

So not only to parents have to keep their kids safe from perverts and kidnappers, now they have to be on the lookout for crazy ass birds as well? I'm beginning to think the Mayans were right.

I Love The Griswold's Old Navy Commercials

Although my least favorite of the National Lampoon's Vacation series is the Christmas verison, I give Old Navy mad props for coming up with the below Christmas commercials involving Clark W. Griswold and family to market their "pop pants" and "fuzzy sweaters".

Not only do Chevy Chase & Beverly D'Angelo reprise their roles as Mr. & Mrs. Griswold, versatile actress Juliette Lewis makes an appearance in all three commercials as "Christmas Audrey". My strange crush on her, I just can't explain. It just is. Don't judge me.

If that isn't enough for you, "Original Rusty"(Anthony Michael Hall) & "Original Audrey"(Dana Barron) are also in on the fun along with "Euro Rusty"(Jason Lively). Beret included.

Santa Claus VS Moses - Epic Rap Battles Of History Season 2

I automatically thought Santa on this one, just by reading the title. No offense to Moses, but Santa is beloved by children across the world. Sure some fairytales suggest that Moses parted the Sed Sea, but let's see him guide a sleigh all over the world and deliver presents to all the good little boys and girls.

All of the above thoughts came to a screeching halt once I found out who is playing Moses...

Santa: "I'm from the North Pole, that's why my rhymes are so cold."

This is Why Dogs Are Awesome

    Man's best friend, indeed.

First we teach them to drive. Soon they'll be trained to drive school-buses, pick up our garbage twice a week and, knock on wood, do our taxes.

Still won't be able to stop them from chasing cars and new insurance policies written to include our loveable mutts. But good Lord is it worth it seeing this video:
