An Ode to Full House by Tom Hanks

Thirty-one years ago, James Stewart appeared on The Tonight Show and read a poem about his dog Beau. Funny, touching, eloquently read; it spoke to that generation of dominant TV watchers - our parents and grandparents.

In 2012, Tom Hanks (repeatedly labeled the living successor to Stewart – misguided view or not) has his answer. A slam poem about Full House on Late Night, speaking to our generation because we watched that awful(ly watchable) sitcom and love our pop-culture jokes. Since I represent said generation, I laughed.

But nobody trumps Johnny Carson. Least of all Jimmy Fallon. Advantage, Stewart.
