New Image From Pixar's The Good Dinosaur

"Disney•Pixar's heartfelt and hilarious 'The Good Dinosaur' roamed the convention center this morning. Co-director Peter Sohn and producer Denise Ream ( 'Cars 2,' 'Up' - associate producer) were on hand to announce key members of the voice cast, including Lucas Neff, voice of Arlo; Bill Hader, voice of Forrest; Judy Greer, voice of Ivy; Neil Patrick Harris, voice of Cliff; John Lithgow, voice of Poppa; and Frances McDormand, voice of Momma. Neff and Greer appeared on stage, alongside Hader, whose voice was also heard in Disney•Pixar’s 'Monsters University.'

'The Good Dinosaur' asks the generations-old question: What if the cataclysmic asteroid that forever changed life on Earth actually missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? In theaters May 30, 2014, the film is a humorous and exciting original story about Arlo, a lively 70-foot-tall teenage Apatosaurus with a big heart. After a traumatic event rattles Arlo's tranquil community, he sets out on a quest to restore peace, gaining an unlikely companion along the way—a young human boy named Spot."

Christian Bale Offered $50 Million to Reprise Batman for 'Man of Steel 2'?

Could Warner Bros. still be trying to get Christian Bale to come back as Batman?

Possibly, and if proven to be true, it's one HELL of a offer to turn down.

According to a new eBook, Beyond Batman: The Unauthorized True Story of Christian Bale and His Dark Knight Dilemma by Vince Russel, Bale currently has a $50 million offer on the table to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman for the still untitled, Man of Steel 2, which would team him with Henry Cavill's Kal-El/Clark Kent/Superman.

The author, Russel, states sources close to Legendary Pictures (the production company behind The Dark Knight Trilogy) tell him Bale may have 'no choice' but to accept the near $50 million payday as his status as this generation's Batman might be too difficult to walk away from.

The arguement is also made that Bale possibly see's the role much like Robert Downey Jr. has handled Iron Man as the actor has been able to play the character multiple times while being given the freedom to explore other film projects.  Downey Jr. recently wrapped up a hefty deal himself to reprise his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man in both The Avengers 2 & 3.

My take:  As much money as that is, I still don't think Bale takes it.  He's loyal to Christopher Nolan and the director has been adamant that HIS Batman story is finished and will have no connection to the new DC Cinematic Universe started in Man of Steel.

However, if Nolan (for whatever reason in his right mind) would give the OK to Bale, he'd do it in a heartbeat.

Were Goyer, Nolan, Snyder & WB Targeting The Dark Knight Returns All Along?

The speculation & buzz surrounding The Brothers Warner major Batman vs Superman announcement at last month's San Diego Comic Con was that it was a spur of the moment decision. There were theories that Man Of Steel hadn't made enough Benjamins in the eyes of the suits and they were looking for over a billion worldwide. Insert Batman here.

It seems like an odd creative choice to take the commercially successful foundation established in Man Of Steel and just throw Batman into a sequel. It screams of the studio stepping in and wanting to make even more money and rush along the path to Justice League. Or does it? Could it be possible that this was actually the plan all along?

Nolan has said time and time again that David Goyer came up with an interesting and innovative way to reintroduce Superman, but could it be possible that the reintroduction of Batman went hand in hand with The Man Of Steel? Who better to shepard such a project than the guy who has been chomping at the bit to make The Dark Knight Returns for years?

    Zack Snyder (December 2008)

"I'm interested in Frank Miller's [graphic novel] The Dark Knight Returns. That's really my favourite comic book.

"The studio has this massive franchise and I don't think they'll let me make a Batman movie where he's 50 years old and Ronald Reagan is president."

    GEEK FILES @COVENTRY TELEGRAPH

To muddle things even further, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, commented on the willinginess to play Batman in a Dark Knight Returns adaptation to MOVIEHOLE.NET in February of 2009.

"I've heard Zack mention he'd like to do it in the media a few times recently. I'd love to see myself in that role. I don't think [Warner] will do it at the moment, not with what The Dark Knight is doing. But the studio loves Zack, and if Watchmen does as well as we hope it does, you never know, he might get a crack at this thing."

If you remember, it was just days ago that THINKMCFLYTHINK.COM posted that the actor was meeting with Snyder to discuss the role of Batman in Batman vs Superman. We'll be with you as the news, rumors, speculation continues to swirl.

Mad Mel Will Kick Ass Again - Joining The Expendables 3

For all the bullshit Hollywood lets slide as long as they continue to turn on cash registers and weaselly quipping, "Don't judge the artist! Let his art speak for itself!" they certainly aren't ready to practice what they preach on Mel Gibson. Put aside his crazy shenanigans (The man has serious issues that nobody in their right mind is excusing) and get off your Goddamn soapbox, will ya?

Gibson deserves his moment to shine again. Who wouldn't pay to see him direct again? South Park nailed it when they said despite his troubles (Putting it lightly) the man knows how to tell a story. Thankfully Sylvester Stallone agrees with Trey and Matt. As per Entertainment Weekly, Mad Mel has been enlisted to join The Expendables 3 as the villain alongside additional franchise virgin/cinematic-badass-from-yesteryear Antonio Banderas.

The optimistic in me hopes this ignites Hollywood to give Gibson his second chance. I may be stupid, but I'm not that stupid. Never gonna happen, folks.

Latest Picture From the Set of Hercules

Dwayne Johnson, being the cool specimen of a human being that he is, wants fans to keep track of his every doing. That's right, kids. He uses the Twitter and been showing off li'l bits here and there from the set of Hercules, the forthcoming actioner reimagining the mythic hero sans powers.

Brett Ratner is directing, which means the Internet has decided it's already worse than cancer, the Holocaust, child molesters and William Shatner albums put together. Jokes on them, got a hunch this will be one of the big surprises of next summer.

Anyway, my ramblings aside, enjoy the latest snap-shot from the set and smell what the Rock is cooking for 2014.
