Movie Moan - I Directed Mystery Men So Screw All Of You

You can watch this week's show on Blip:

    Or on Youtube:

Join us tonight as we uncover the mystery that has nobody dared unveil until now......nobody ever credited as a film director has ever directed that film.  We directed 'em.  I mean, if you think about it, what kind of name is Kinka Usher.  There's no way that's a real name right?

Joining Phil and Jamie this week are our regular Movie Moan friends Jen Mayhew and Gabe Toro as we review 'Kick Ass 2', they try to describe the 'experience' that is Lee Daniels' 'The Butler' and we jump from random topic to random topic to make up for lack of interesting news.

It's random, it's fun, it's Movie Moan......and you wouldn't have it any other way.

Supermoan: Movie Moan's Ultimate Superman Retrospective Episode 8 - 'Man Of Steel' (2013): The Ultimate Debate

You can watch this two part epic on Blip:

    Part 1

    Part 2

    Or on Youtube:

    Part 1

    Part 2

"I will NOT introduce my kids to this Superman" - Justin Korthof

"How many movies have we seen where heroes kill villains and don't start pussying out and crying at the end?" - Jamie Williams

"I just love that the next shot is Clark trying to hitch a ride from a truck.  Why didn't you just steal the one you impaled you silly shit!" - Phil Gee

"There's serious shit going on Phil.  You can't put it into little boxes, man" - Randall Maynard

"This idea that Superman has to save people is ludicrous"  - Robert Meyer Burnett

Those are just some of the gems that lie in store for any of you who are willing to put your evening plans on hold and join us for the next four hours as we undertake our biggest podcast to date and hold Superman's first cinematic reboot up to intense scrutiny to see if it is built to stand the same test of time as its 1978 predecessor, or whether its flaws are great enough to sink it completely.

By the end of the show, every member of the group will have formed their final, definitive opinion of the film, to be carved on a stone tablet for all time.........and maybe, just maybe, one person's score may go up or down.

Movie Moan - The Magical Growing Beard Of Sharlto Copley

You can watch this week's show on Blip:

    Or on Youtube:

This is the first show we've ever done where I just gave up trying to moderate or structure it.  Jamie and Gabe Toro, film critic for The Playlist and Jump Cut Junkies just kept talking so I just hit the record button and you join them right in the thick of discussing Honey Boo Boo and Sean Connery slapping women's bums.

Once we get back on track (if we do, it's debatable), we discuss all the news to come out of the D23 Expo, the lack of news on you know what, how Pixar needs to bring back traditional cel animation, and another rant on 'Mystery Box' marketing.

Oh, and we review 'Elysium' (and one particular heavy spoiler is contained therein).

You can watch this week's episode on Blip:

    Or on Youtube:

Note: This isn't a full video show.  By all means enjoy the images but this was just a special treat for you guys to throw up before I enjoyed my special day.  Apologies for any lack of effort on my part :)

If you're watching this on August 2nd 2013, it is Phil Gee's 30th birthday and he could think of no better people to party with than with all of you.

So join us for two hours of completely random fun as Phil, his co-host Jamie Williams, graphic artist Randall Maynard, box office correspondent Jen Mayhew, and writer/editor for Comingsoon.net Mr Ed Douglas discuss, among other things, the Phantom, The Toy, Stan Lee, Pryde of the X-Men, Defenders of the Earth, Bane, five Hugh Jackmans, Empire magazine, Narnia, Sharknado, SyFy, 2 Guns, James Marsden, Electro, Dan Brown's Inferno, Phil's impression of Jamie, fanboys as a race, why are people so bloody cynical, British comedies in USA, the Keeping Up Appearances test, Mel Brooks, Sentinels, have we never had it so good in comic book movies, lots of X-Men, and the Galaxy Rangers.

    Movie Moan - ON STEROIDS!

You can watch this week's show on Blip:

     Or on Youtube:

I like to think we're one of the jolliest movie podcasts on internet land and this week we take our exuberance to another level.  I'm happy because my birthday is coming up.  Jamie is happy because he gets to speak for the entire human race on the subject of the '50 Shades Of Grey' movie (both sexes), and we have two jolly special guests joining us as well.

We are delighted to be joined for the very first time by TMT's box office correspondent Jen Mayhew, who is still giddy from a week of having met Hugh Jackman, going to a Bon Jovi concert, and having watched  a Wolverine movie that didn't suck.  And we are honoured to be joined by writer and editor for Comingsoon.net, Mr. Edward Douglas who literally is on steroids as he talks to us.  He already has a physique like Jackman, I don't know why he feels the need.

So join us as we review 'The Wolverine', reflect on the fact that it's been 13 years since X1, and ask which film coming out of this year's Comic-Con are we now the most pumped to see.  Plus Jamie tries to crush my excitement for Brad Bird's 'Tomorrowland' and we discuss how to get into the hotel suite at Sleeping Beauty's castle at Disneyland.  Oh, and Ed calls me Chris Tucker.

    It's hip, it's how, it's now, it's Movie Moan.....ON STEROIDS.
