Ron Burgundy's "Memoir" Coming This November - That's the Joke...

Alright, alright, it's one big inside joke. Many devoted fans are going to love this. It helps them get into the mood, the excitement of Anchorman: The Legend Continues opening this Christmas. I get that. But come on, fellas, does anyone really want to blow $20 on a "memoir" penned by Ron Burgundy?

The collection, titled Let Me Off at the Top! My Classy Life and Other Musings, hits bookshelves November 19, reports The New York Times. It will reportedly "share personal anecdotes about the women in his life, about his dog, Baxter, and his legendary news teams. Along the way, he'll also give sage advice on a variety of topics that matter most to him."

I'm trying my best to stay as clean as possible going into Anchorman 2's December 20th release. From here on out, I won't look at new footage (Bound to be at least 2 more trailers in the next 4 months). If I have to be the one to post it when it’s released, fine, I will. I just won't watch it. That overexposure to footage, and seeing all the gags and as-it-turned-out deleted jokes, was made me initially hate the 2004 original. Once a year or so past and that disappointment was out of the way, I came to love Anchorman for the genius it is. So I’d prefer not have that happen again.

And that includes gimmicks like a "memoir." You guys can love that all you want (and God bless if you do), but I'll pass.
