First Clip 'The Other Guys'

Columbia seems to really be on top of their shit today. This is the second video they've released today, and the first actual clip from The Other Guys the buddy cop comedy with Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Eva Mendes, Michael Keaton, Steve Coogan, Ray Stevenson, Samuel L. Jackson, Dwayne Johnson, Rob Riggle and Damon Wayans Jr.

The plot follows Detective Allen Gamble (Ferrell), a forensic accountant who's more interested in paperwork than hitting the streets, and Detective Terry Hoitz (Wahlberg), who has been stuck with Allen as his partner ever since an embarrassing public incident with his quick trigger finger. Allen and Terry idolize the city's top cops, Danson and Manzetti (Johnson and Jackson), but when an opportunity arises for the Other Guys to step up, things don't quite go as planned.

I can't say that I like everything Will Ferrell does, but Wahlberg in a comedy and the combination of the two of them alone has me sold. From everything I've seen of this from the trailers to this clip it looks pretty damn funny. It's only a shame it couldn't be a R rated comedy, there aren't enough of them anymore.

The Other Guys opens everywhere August 6.
