New Clip 'Nightmare On Elm Street' remake
Wed, April 21, 2010 Shocktillyoudrop has released an exclusive clip from Warner Bros new 'Nightmare On Elm Street' remake hitting theatres April 30th. The clip features Freddy Krueger (Jackie Earle Haley) reminiscing with Nancy(Rooney Mara), in one of her nightmares.
It's too hard to tell at this point, but I'm not sure if this will be regarded as a horror classic or another terrible remake doing no justice to the original. When I saw the first clip released I thought, wow this looks amazing, and then we get this. Haley doesn't seem to have a lot of range in where he's able to take his voice, this sounds almost identical to his portrayal of Rorschach in Watchmen.
I'm a huge fan of the franchise, so I hope what we're seeing now isn't a sign of what to expect for the entire movie.

he does sound just like rorschach, ppl have been saying that since they first revealed his voice in the teaser. I hate to jump on the wagon, but in this particular clip he sounds like shit, Haley is a good actor I'm a little surpised he wouldnt try to do more with a role like this...hopefully he doesnt sound like that the whole time, its retarded
haley sounds like shit here, i hope your right and this isnt his voic the whole way through.
Freddy sounds ridiculous here, it seems like they cant make up their minds...lets have freddy awesome and scary, no lets make him cheesy and gay...fuckers are gonna ruin an icon
I like it, this is a huge improvement over the old franchise, i dont get why everyone is so choked
