Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. Rupert Sanders Will Bring You GHOST IN THE SHELL

Ghost in the Shell, a tense and sexy neo-noir thriller with extremely deep themes about humanity and it's tech-obsession as well as a brilliant look into the future, praised as one of the greatest science fiction films of all time and one of the pinnacles of Japanese animation next to the likes of AKIRA, will be brought to the big screen from DreamWorks and the guy who directed Snow White and the Huntsman.

    Deadline reports:

DreamWorks has made a deal with Snow White And The Huntsmanhelmer Rupert Sandersto direct Ghost In The Shell, a live-action film based on the Japanese manga futuristic police thriller that has a new script from William Wheeler. The film is being produced by Avi Arad, Ari Arad and Steven Paul. Fueled by the personal passion of Steven Spielberg, DreamWorks acquired the project several years ago with ambitious plans to shoot it in 3D.

Sanders lent a beautiful touch to Snow White, all jokes aside, the films visuals and direction were it's clear strong points, also coupled with Arad and Spielberg, should mean fans shouldn't be too worried about their favorite anime being "ruined" by these "baka gaijin".

This is a pretty big step into what I've been saying might be the next race for "Comic Book Movie Gold" by adapting video-games and anime, with Leo rumored to be circling ROBOTECH and last week's announcement of a Hollywood made GUNDAM film as well James Cameron's pet project of adapting Battle Angel: ALITA

Ghost in the Shell  was released in 1995 directed by Mamoru Oshii and based off of the manga of the same name which ran from 1989 to 1997 by Masamune Shirow and went on to spawn a sequel, an Anime series, an OVA, and 3 video-games.

The film follows Section 9, a high-tech security division led by Motoko Kusanagi, as they track down a cyber-terrorist known as The Puppet Master, which draws them into a web of political corruption and intrigue.

ANT-MAN Takes Over BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN's 2015 Slot

A week ago, WB announced that Man of Steel 2/Batman Vs. Superman/The Dark Battfleck Rises would be delayed a year, from July 17th 2015 to May 2016, for reasons unknown but probably so Zack Snyder and Cavill could have more bro-time at the gym.
Well now it appears Marvel/Disney has leapt in for the kill to release ANT-MAN, which will kick off "Phase 3" just months after Phase 2's ending with Avengers: Age of Ultron in May.

ANT-MAN previously lured  Michael Douglas (Wallstreet) as Hank Pym to the film, also starring Paul Rudd (Anchorman) and directed by Edgar Wright (Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World).

Marvel's upcoming films will be Captain America: The Winter Soldier this May, and their first big risk project, Guardians of the Galaxy for early August.

ASSASSIN'S CREED Might Hook SAFE HOUSE Director

While there's an impressive line-up of video-game movies coming out soon, with Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, WARCRAFT, and AGENT 47 in development; it's been a tad quiet on Ubisoft's front after attaching hot commodity Michael Fassbender as the lead role in their upcoming Assassin's Creed film with 20th Fox.

Well now, it appears Twitch has reported Safe House director Daniel Espinosa is in talks to bring the time-line spanning film to life.

Though nothing has firmed up just yet there is persistent talk that the film's producers and backer 20th Century Fox have zeroed in on Swedish director Daniel Espinosa to take the helm.

Espinosa originally burst on to the Hollywood radar with his 2010 Swedish action thriller Snabba Cash (Easy Money), a massive international hit which led to Espinosa taking the helm of Ryan Reynolds / Denzel Washington hit Safe House while also launching its Swedish star Joel Kinnaman - now known for the US version of The Killing and soon to be on screens as the lead in RoboCop - to Hollywood stardom.

Espinosa made big money with 2012's Safe House, an original film which was made on a budget of $85 million and went on to take over $200 million by the end of it's run; which makes me wonder what he can do to an established and commercially successful property like Assassin's Creed.

Still no confirmed word on Assassin's Creed's plot or characters, as the franchise currently has several entries with most of them taking place with a new antagonist in a new period of history, while the "main character" in the present relives these memories of his Assassin ancestors through a device called The Animus, waging a shadow-war between The Assassin's and the Knight's Templar.

Given Ubisoft's latest outing, the pirate adventure Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag being the franchise's most critically successful and well thought out entry, I'd say that would be a smart bet for the film; but who knows.

The film is set to release August 7, 2015.

7 New Seconds of X-Men: Days of Future Past Footage to Cream the Internet's Pants

New X-Men: Days of Future Past footage is up on Instagram with the promise of "something BIG" from Bryan Singer himself this Monday. Probably a new trailer to shut fans up on the lack of scope in last fall’s teaser trailer; not exactly an unfair argument.

Pal to TMT, Caleb Williams of Super Hero Movies News grabbed the embed and nabbed it on his YouTube account for you to enjoy.

Listen to Tegan & Sara's EVERYTHING IS AWESOME for THE LEGO MOVIE

With the hotly-anticipated The LEGO Movie opening in just a few weeks, WB has dropped a version of the ear-buggingly catchy tune from the trailer, with this version done by indie-rock duo Tegan and Sara featuring comedy group The Lonely Island, "Everything Is Awesome", exclusively on JustJared.

The song is cute and catchy, and it's funny to hear The Lonely Island doing something that isn't chock full of prolific swearing and hilariously suggestive themes.

“The moment we heard ‘Everything Is Awesome’ we were on board to be part of The Lego Movie,” Tegan shared in a statement. “Getting to sing such a fun song and work with Mark Mothersbaugh and his team was a treat. The addition of The Lonely Island only made things even more awesome, and we can’t wait to see the movie!”

The track will be availabele for purchase on iTunes tomorrow.

BREAKING: There MAY Be a Wonder Woman Movie - Eventually

Headline ran yesterday about Gal Gadot inking a multi-picture deal as Wonder Woman. Unfortunately that ain't news. Signing actors down for several films is standard operating procedure. It's only been that way since forever.

The real news comes from Variety. They say they know exactly what films her deal is for – the Batman/Superman Team-Up, Justice League and a solo Wonder Woman film.

That doesn't mean Diana Prince will fly in the invisible jet by her lonesome. Gadot might not be embraced in the role. Warner Brothers might not go through with a female superhero flick (By the time they get to this, Marvel probably will have beaten them to that punch). Knowing them, they will find some way of fucking this up and keep DC on film exclusively as Batman & His Amazing Friends.

Time For Another Michael Caine Smackdown Between Rob Brydon & Steve Coogan

The Trip was a nice BBC sitcom recut as a feature-length film. But you know it as an Internet sensation thanks to the scene where stars Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan one-up each other in their Michael Caine impressions (Both have their strengths but for the record Brydon was superior).

There is another one coming called The Trip to Italy and it wouldn't be the same without another Michael Caine showdown. This time it's their voice-recreations of The Dark Knight Rises including (intentionally?) bad bits on Caine, Christian Bale and Tom Hardy.

Second time is not the charm here. I'm sure the film itself is fine.

Garret Hedlund Lands Hook Role in 'Pan'

Garrett Hedlund's made some odd choices in Hollywood.

He turns down Captain America, wants nothing to do with the Terminator franchise, signs on for a Tron sequel which doesn't pan out, and now comes away with the lead role of Hook in a Peter Pan reboot.

To each his own I guess.

The actor has reportedly won the role of Hook (not Captain yet) in Joe Wright's new take on the J.M. Barrie classic, Pan, for Warner Bros.

The film will tell the story of an orphan brought to Neverland who goes on to become the savior of the natives and leads the fight against evil pirates, led by Blackbeard (Hugh Jackman was said to have that role locked in but Javier Bardem's name keeps getting mentioned as well).

Pan is due out July 17th, 2015 (where the Batman/Superman film was to open before it's move to 2016).

Quentin Tarantino Shelves 'The Hateful Eight' After Script Leaks Online

So it seems you can't trust anyone in Hollywood...ever.

Word came in last night that Quentin Tarantino has put what was to be his next film film - The Hateful Eight - on indefinite hold because someone in his inner-circle accidentally leaked the script online.

The project - which was described as a full-on Western - had just been put together into first draft form when Tarantino gave copies of the script to six people he trusted (a producer on Django Unchained, actors Bruce Dern, Michael Madsen, Tim Roth, and two other individuals who are unknown at this point).

Tarantino suspects one of the actors may have given it to his agent who then talked it up with others, not realizing the whole thing was suppose to be a secret.

I actually suspect it most likely was Dern for a couple reasons: 1) He's never worked with Tarantino before and is unfamiliar with his process, and 2) The dude's an old-time actor.  I'm sure he's not necessarily 'in-touch' with out quickly and easily information can leak out in today's world.

Regardless, it seems Tarantino still has plans to bring the script to life, but in the form of a book.  He wants to start meeting with publishers in hopes of turning the project into a novel and then maybe, just maybe, revisit the idea of making it into a film years down the line.

For now though, the famed filmmaker has plans to move onto another project though it isn't confirmed what exactly that will be.

    We'll keep you posted.

(Follow the link below to read quotes and comments Tarantino made regarding the entire mess of the situation.)
