CONSTANTINE Has Found It's Lead in ASSASSIN'S CREED IV's Matt Ryan

Ever since NBC announced their development of a TV series based on the DC comic-book character John Constantine, last played by Keanu Reeves in the under-rated 2005 film of the same name, fans have apparently been worried as if they titular anti-hero would have blonde hair and be British. Well, rest assured, that's what you're getting.
Matt Ryan, who recently gave a riveting performance as Edward Kenway in Ubisoft's brilliant Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and also can be seen on Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, has been cast as the series' lead with a description of the character reading:
(From Deadline)
John Constantine is described as a working-lass Londoner with rakish good looks, scruffy blond hair, deadpan humor, and signature trench coat, who has been studying the dark arts since he was a teenager.
The series is being written by Daniel Cerone (The Mentalist) and David S. Goyer (Man of Steel, The Dark Knight series).
Based on the characters in DC Comics’ John Constantine stories, the project centers on John Constantine (Ryan), an enigmatic and irreverent con man-turned-reluctant supernatural detective who is thrust into the role of defending us against dark forces from beyond; when the daughter of a late friend is targeted by demons, Constantine steps in to save her.
