Sony Pictures Finds Director for 'Goosebumps' Film; Hollywood Continues to Rape 90s Childhood

I never would have thought when I was watching R.L. Stine's Goosebumps TV series as a kid that one day it would be made into a feature-film.

Though I never thought the kid from the Say Cheese and Die would go on to become Ryan Gosling so stranger things have happened.

Sony Pictures announced a while back that they were looking to make the popular young-adult book series from the 1990s into a movie and it looks like they've finally found a director in Rob Letterman (Monsters Vs Aliens, Shark Tale).

I've never seen any of his films but from what I read, he's a great choice and should do something fun and original.

No word on if the film will be based on a specific book (The Haunted Mask anyone?) or something else entirely but expect more news in the coming months.

Meanwhile, I'll wait until they announce the feature-film adaption of Are You Afraid of the Dark?
