The 16-minute "Avatar" pre-screenings will take place at 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 21.
Tickets for the pre-screenings will be given away on a "first-come, first-served basis" at www.avatarmovie.com starting at 3 p.m. EST on Monday, Aug. 17.

They're growing them? What are they? I don't know anything about that movie except I keep hearing the name. Hmmmm, guess I will find out, eventurally.
It's a miracle. From that single picture from the finished film, I've already lost 20 pounds and my head-aches are gone! Blessed be the one who bringeth Avatar - James Cameron!

it looks good to me. but of course cancer was not cured. people didnt go nuts and noone died.
i just hope that people will understand that the reason the aliens look so humanoid is because cameron wants people to connect with the na'vi. and Jake is inside an alien body. so they need to look a little similar to humans so that he can fall in love in an alien women. if neytiri would look like a female predator then there is no way he would want to kiss or f... neytiri.
Oh after reading that last comment I remembered reading Sean's previous article with James Cameron after Comic-Con. Did I miss the note to go back and refresh my memory or was that added later? Oh well, I just reread the original article and as I stated back then it does look like it is going to be a really good movie. And Avatar Day is almost here.
One more comment after looking at that picture again. I have to wonder if that is the ex-Marine (he looks it) and the alien body he is soon to 'mentally' inhabit. Hmmmm

The note to "refresh your memory" was there from the beginning. However, I did just add info on how to get tickets for the pre-screenings.
I just signed up on that site. I am hoping the Imax near me will be among the ones participating in 'Avatar Day'. I am going to try and get tickets if it is. I guess I have to wait till Monday noon to find out.
As to the note to refresh my memory, I think I was just looking so hard at the picture that I missed the verbage under it and went directly to comment.
