TMT Exclusive: Rose Byrne up for Carol Ferris

It has been learned by TMT that the extremely talented and beautiful Australian actress Rose Byrne is up for the leading female role in Green Lantern, Carol Ferris. Not only is Byrne up for the role, but from what we're hearing she is director Martin Campbell's first choice. In addition to the very likely possibility of Byrne, Doug Jones is likely to sign on for an unspecified role according to the source.

We will provide more information as we receive it.

Doug Jones' official response to the rumour of his casting in THE GREEN LANTERN:

"I wish I had something to add to the rumor of my involvement with the GREEN LANTERN movie, but unfortunately, this rumor is news to me, too. That doesn't necessarily mean I haven't been talked about in a conference room somewhere in Hollywoodland. All kinds of names get tossed about when a movie like this is in development, so it wouldn't surprise me. However, until a phone call is made asking about my availability, it remains a rumor. For the record, if such a call did come in, I would happily entertain the notion. But in the meantime, I'm every bit in the dark about all this as you are, with no idea who "the source" of this news is. I also want to say a huge thank you for your positive response to such a rumor, as your support continues to drive me forward in any role I take on, past, present, and future.
    There's Love!! -- Doug Jones"
