The Summer 2012 Predictions Results Show
Sorry TDKR, your time is up and the books are closed.
Back in April, Kristina, Jamie, Phil and Shawn Robbins of BoxOffice.com placed their bets on the specific domestic box office grosses of the Summer 2012 movies (or at least the ones we though bore mentioned, which embarrassingly did not include 'Ted') and it's time to see who has won, and who was so badly beaten that they will never do this again.
But your imaginary money is on the line too because YOUR predictions have been tallied up as well and we have picked a 'Web Winner' for each film. Enough stalling; let the games begin:
6:05 mins - The Avengers
13:35 mins - Dark Shadows
21:45 mins - The Dictator
25:05 mins - Battleship
29 mins - Men In Black 3
33:45 mins - Snow White & The Huntsman
39:35 mins - Prometheus
48:55 mins - Rock Of Ages
53 mins - Brave
58:45 mins - G.I.Joe Retaliation
61:20 mins - The Amazing Spider-man
69:30 mins - Ice Age: Continental Drift
71:40 mins - The Dark Knight Rises
78:35 mins - Total Recall

Has anyone thought about a "no point" movie? Like if all of the predictions are off by more the 50 million, nobody gets a point.
It seems cruel to mention this since it's the last video version, but I was only listening through most of this. The things is, that way it becomes so glaringly obvious the way trailers are all pretty much the same these days.
Which viewer won for The Expendables 2?!?!
?!?!
@Welshfilmbuff The Mati won for the Expendables 2.
I'm happy I got The Amazing Spider-Man prediction right. I'll try to do a better job next year. Some of my predictions were also way off. :)
Wow! I got a lot a lot way more right than I expected. Hopefully I'll keep it up next time. I also hope you guys get to do the Holiday predictions, the fact that you've got more films sharing release dates just makes it a lot more interesting.
Also no, my name isn't from Captain Planet, it's just a silly variation of my real name, nothing fancy.
Oh, and hi five Jamie.
@A2THEH Yeah, you're quite right. I was a bit cross, because I could've shown I nailed that one, but looking back, I put a close but not close enough $90M on EX 2 and I was wrong about it sucking, too. Well played, Mati :-)
So much for my "conservative estimates" this year... still too high for this summers' box office slump. I'll be more perceptive next year... I hope.
Oh and Phil... as bas as your singing voice is, I would rather listen to it than Bill Medley's to be perfectly honest.
good show everyone, btw which online player collected the most points, I lost track.
Phill, "too much passion."
@Jo The Mati won the most points. I think.
