Finally caught up to you guys. Thanks for twittering Jamie - did not know you had the site up and running.
BTW, I loved, loved, loved the latest Trek trailer. And I totally bought the 'chair' moment. Note - the music in the trailer is not from the score. You can hear a loop of actual film score at the official site. Gives off a Braveheart vibe to me - though it does not sound like Braveheart.
Going to see The WatchMen this week. Read the graphic novel a while back. It is interesting but not a classic by any means.
Also the WatcMen dropped 78% at the BO on its second Friday. OUCH!
Good work gents as per previous expectations!
Working my way through your back cataolgue of 'casts.
Cheers!
Lou
As always, we are glad to have you here Lou.
As usual - Phil - most kind.
Great show fellas. Wonder if Dicaprio will make his way into the next Batman flick?
Saw the WatchMen last night. It was.....better than OK. Maybe good. Definitely not excellent.
In the end, I didn't really care. None of the characters grabbed me.
Snyder is adept at action as DOTD, 300, & this movie show. He has shown no touch with evoking the softer emotions yet.
On this week's Movie Moan, Phil and Jamie react to Zack Snyder's insanely anticipated silver screen adaptation of Watchmen. What did they like, dislike and exactly how did their audience react as well as the nerdgasming coming from the Internet fanbase over it's opening weekend box-office.
In addition, our heroes discuss the new trailers for Star Trek, Terminator: Salvation, Up, Public Enemies, Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince and Wolverine. Damn, what a week for trailers!
Also on topic is the news of Leonardo DiCaprio staring in the Christoper Nolan-helm Inception and Kevin Smith's decision to make A Couple of Dicks with Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan absent his long-time producing partner Scott Mosier!
