    Oblivion Trailer

Ok so it has small Spanish subtitles but this isn't some crappy bootleg deal it's a good quality version of the trailer and boy does this film look great!

It's nice to see a good amount of original sci fi heading to our screens and I like the way here Kosinski has taken his sleek and stylish visuals and married them to the real world environments. There is a real Amblin era Spielberg feel about this footage of Jack Harper's (Cruise) journey and the movie instantly joins Iron Man 3 at the top of my 2013 blockbuster anticipation list. Over to you Man of Steel.

    First Oblivion Poster

The film is out in April and there will be a trailer this Sunday but Oblivion has fired it's first marketing salvo and scored a direct hit.

The Tom Cruise headlined sci fi action adventure set on an alien ravaged future earth is directed by Tron 2.0 helmer Joseph Kosinkski, based on his graphic novel Horizons.

After a year filled with bland posters criticized as derivative and lambasted for poor photo shopping this poster comes as a breath of fresh air, a beautifully composed poster that gives us a glimpse of Cruise character and his chopper as well as giving off a real sense of the broken beauty and scale of the film.

    Now You See Me Trailer

This looks like slick fun from former Hulk helmer Louis Leterrier but it seems to be more sci fi fused than I was expecting unless I have misread the trailer. What is for sure is that Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Mark Ruffalo and Woody Harrelson look to be on form alongside their young hipster co-stars.

NOW YOU SEE ME pits an elite FBI squad in a game of cat and mouse against "The Four Horsemen," a super-team of the world's greatest illusionists. "The Four Horsemen" pull off a series of daring heists against corrupt business leaders during their performances, showering the stolen profits on their audiences while staying one step ahead of the law.

    The Heat Trailer

No this is not a documentary about the Miami basketball team and their filthy rich players, it's a new Sandra Bullock comedy that is essentially Miss Congeniality 3 in disguise.

In truth I have always had a huge soft spot for Miss Congeniality and while this isn't a sequel it does look better than the actual sequel they made, but it still looks pretty weak.

    On The Road Trailer

My cynicism says that if it looks like Oscar bait and smells like Oscar bait the chances are it's.....well time will tell I guess.

This doesn't interest me in the slightest but the book is groundbreaking apparently so check it out for yourselves. One interesting aspect will be Kristen Stewart, a young actress who has weathered a lot of hate for her role in Twilight but whom I believe is a decent actress.

Dean and Sal are the portrait of the Beat Generation. Their search for "It" results in a fast paced, energetic roller coaster ride with highs and lows throughout the U.S.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution To Hit The Big Screen

First it was Assassins Creed, then yesterday Splinter Cell and now today news comes from CBS Films that Sci Fi classic Deus Ex: Human Revolution is headed to the big screen as the latest attempt to adapt a popular video game into cinematic greatness. The one attempting the adapting is Scott Derrickson (Insidious, The Exorcism of Emily Rose).

I have to confess I got the game for Christmas last year and I'm yet to play it through as I'm lazy and it's quite deep, however it clearly has all the attributes to make for some great sci fi action cinema, from oppressive governments, freedom fighters, terrorists, criminals, corrupt corporations to Blade Runner inspired cities and a hero who has been augmented with cybernetic parts, and from his look should be played by Hugh Jackman, but don't take my word for it, check out the stunning trailer below.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - TV Spot 6

I actually had no idea there had been so many TV spots for The Hobbit, I'm sure it will be very good but it's just not grabbing me the way Lord of the Rings did and now it's been stretched out into 3 parts for dubious reasons.

Rise of the Guardians Movie CLIP - Sleigh

This film just looks like great Christmas fun, a neat little concept that puts a spin on some classic characters, and this particular sequence should be a blast on the big screen.

Rise of the Guardians opens on November 21st.

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones Trailer

"It's Harry Potter meets Twilight!" I am just sure this statement was blurted out by some sweaty exec at a studio meeting when it came to green-lighting this.

I can't see an ounce of originality or even a dollop of the cool factor in here at all, it doesn't even look all that well made, but with the aforementioned franchises dead or about to be, this looks like it's taking aim for that young adult fantasy franchise throne.
