Exclusive: Is Scott Porter In the Running for the Flash?

A week or so back, our friends at IESB received word that Dan Mazeau (whose Johnny Quest script really impressed Warner Brothers) was tapped to write The Flash.

Now even as Mazeau is typing away at the script, the studio is already looking at two actors as possible candidates to done the red-and-gold suit.

We've received word from a very-reliable source that actor Scott Porter (formerly of the critically-acclaimed television-series Friday Night Lights) is one of those actors.

If you'll remember back in the Fall of 2007, Porter auditioned for director George Miller for his (now dead) Justice League: Mortal and was said to be a top candidate for Superman.

The word is the studio has been quietly keeping their eye on the actor, and been keen to include him in one of their DC properties since JLM fell through.

This is Scott Porter (for anyone else not really familiar with him):

He talks about auditioning for The Flash in the Justice League movie. He comes off as very likeable. And he gets bonus points in my book for saying Brandon Routh was a fantastic Superman.

Interesting. Does the script have Wally or Barry in it as the Flash?

Nice video Sean. Yeah Porter does across a great and likable guy. I have a feeling he would play Wally instead of Barry, if he is indeed playing Flash.

I got a good chuckle at the shot at the internet and Harry Knowles

If Flash: Rebirth takes off and leads to a successful new Flash monthly, you can bet that the movie will star Barry. If it doesn't, they'll probably shelve it again.

Yeah, I thought that was funny, too.
In that video, though, Porter says he was not up for Superman. He confirms that he was up for The Flash in Justice League: Mortal.

Porter's a gigantic Flash fan, and would really bring everything he's got for it.

NPH is a comic fan too, It would be a dream come true to see Porter as Wally and Harris as Barry co-starring (maybe in flash-backs?).

Scott Porter did the viagra online advertisements and I can't really see him as Flash after that. It's just that he did it so well that now I just picture him as an impotent guy, if you know what I mean, not that I'm offending him.

I think Scott Porter would be almost perfect to play Flash. He has a very succesful career and he has already proven his acting qualities and skills. I hope they give hi the chance, because I would like to see him in such a different role than what he is used to. I don't really care that he spoke so much crap about the viagra online pills users, he's still a a great actor!

I think that it would be a good idea, that guy is not that bad of an actor and I think he could actually pull it off. I just wonder how the outfit could be done, except from F4 and Spider-Man, DC's movies are the only ones to have used an accurate rendition of the suits.

Preservation and promotion of health is achieved through a combination of physical, mental and social well-being, sometimes called "the triangle of health." Health is a positive concept focuses on the social and personal resources, as well as physical capacities.

Taking organic vitamins means that the supplements are free of any synthetic chemicals, which can cause free radicals to party in your body and can lead to cancers and other illnesses over time. If you can reduce the amount of artificial ingredients that you put into your body and reduce the amount of toxins in your body, then you are going to enjoy a much healthier and energetic lifestyle.

I was wondering if you ever thought of changing the page layout of your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or 2 images. Maybe you could space it out better?
